I've worked on a number of DVRs. It's usually easy, but it depends on whether the firmware is in the DVR or on the drive. Some of them (Samsung in particular) don't make it easy to transfer the firmware to a replacement drive. Physically changing the drive is very easy and only requires a Phillips screwdriver.Earl Weiss said:Says it supports up to 2 TB HD. Did you upgrade it? Was it hard to do?
I noticed two of the Q-See DVRs have identical specs except one had a 500GB drive and one had a 2TB drive. The price difference between them was MORE than the cost of a new 2TB drive.
