Here is a unit I know nothing about. It has a built in DVD Burner. Costs more.

As far as I know Q See no longer amakes one with this option.
I e-mailed them to ask about it and their reply was that people simply use the Flash Drives.
I have 5 DVR systems in place. All from Costco. Have purchased 6.
4 had the ability to drop in a DVR Burner, which I did. . One of those was stolen during a break in. Thieves either knew where it was or happened to get it.
Periodicaly when I neee a copy of a video, it's easy and cheap to burn 2 DVDs. (One ot give the cops or insurance company and one to keep in a file.)Easy to keep a stack on hand with DVD envelopes. Doesn't take long since you typicaly only need to burn a couple of minutes. Some of my loactions do not have computers with their own DVD burners.
As someone said, USBS are realtively cheap. Still, keeping a stack on hand at each location and sending them out or giving them away annoys me.
So, if I did it again I would likely pay extra for one with the DVD burner.
Someone mentioned plugging a DVD Burer into the USB backup port in the DVR, but I don't think the DVR software and DVD burner software allow this marriage. It's not like a computer where you can take the CD that comes with the burner and load it into the DVR.
