If that's all it would take to eliminate the problem then I would invite a copy and paste solution to a program to help the end user.
I have not been turning out dirty cars, slow across the front is just a very slow process when you waste time on the back with time that could be used on where the car is dirty and has to be repeated 3 times to be the same, that's all. If this wasn't true hey wouldn't have said they were offering it and do in their other wash models. True, I really haven't lost anything other than my customers time, a few more washes on busy days and respect for this company.I hear your frustration with not having received what you thought you bought. It has been stated somewhere that the machine will go slower across the front , just not a back and forth like a 4000 bug pass. You stated somewhere near the beginning of this thread that the bug pass was very important to cleaning the car In your area. So...are you saying that you refuse to use the programming that IS available(going slow) and you have been turning out dirty cars for 9 years ??? C'mon man. That sounds iffy at best. I hear you on not getting what you wanted, and the bs story from pdq. I get it. But I don't think you've really lost anything. I think your feelings are just hurt. If your feelings have been hurt for 9 years......well I just don't know what to say about that. And to get on here and fuss about it 9 years later ???? Lol. Gee whiz. Do you like the Rolling Stones ? They wrote a song..... You can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need. I think in this case the slow across the front will suffice. The bs is unacceptable, but you should be over that by now
Yes, and all I'm pointing out is promoted and sold them saying they were going to be able. And that it wouldn't take much for them to stay true to their word. After following this thread, my only question is, PDQ built a machine before the G5 that could do a back and forth bug pass (LW4000). They built a machine after the G5 that could do the same thing (M5). Why would they build a machine between these 2 that couldn't? Just doesn't make sense to me.
Nice reply, I'm glad you brought my post up a few levels from Stating facts to throwing around this. Cars are a different kind of dirty in every region and that even changes by season for some. In my region we have a 170,000 acre lake and is the prairie pothole region we get a LOT of bugs on our cars. You may think you have bugs but we have bugs. You may not see a benefit for your vehicle washing needs. I have no reason to put more soap the whole car or spend more time to wash the back and sides. this is the other thing that drew me to the G5.I can't help but to comment. Because this guy is just like a SS customer if you gave him $10 worth of quarters one time to wash his car he would expect it Everytime he came to your site you could never make him happy ever. I was the first person On this form to ask was he slowing down in the front and he admitted he was doing it and he knew the machine could do so, At that point I knew what type of guy we where working with. I have a 4000 and actually removed the bug prep on my wash because I seen no benefit but slowing my wash time & using way more HIgh pressure water instead of just one pass like the G5. I can give another whole pass of Preasoak for the same time put a stop watch on it I have. I think the G5 was thinking ahead of the curve and being more efficient by slowing down on the front and back and keeping everything moving in one sweep one pass. He just doesn't get it. If you have good High quality Presoak titrated and injecting booster with a descent dwell time and replace those turbo nozzels on the G5 every year. It will clean the hell out of the bugs on the vehicle. Matter in fact I wish the 4000 you could speed up the sides and slow down in the front. Just saying. I can't belive he took it to this level. To me there is no benefit.
This is ridiculous will the Administrator please erase this whole thread.
I see the OP's point. He apparently was promised something more than once and they never came through. If they would have just came clean and said they just couldn't make good years ago, it would probably be a thing of the past. It's not the end of the world, but I get it.
As long as things stay relatively civil, I'm not shutting the thread down. I'll let Jackson make that call.
Kris Oliver chimed in a few days ago. I consider them reached. The G5 could NEVER do a double pass across the front like the 4000 or M5. The only way you can do it is to slow the speeds down across the front and rear of the vehicle. I haven't been in that software for years, but that is what I recall.
