    Credit Card Acceptance

It looks interesting to me as well, but then so did Nayax. I ended up never using the Nayax and selling them because of issues I didn't learn until afterwards. The Nayax I bought were for my Wash Select, not self-serve, but the issues would have been the same and they were: 1) Operator...

    Dencar cost to operate

I'm just curious as we don't currently offer membership plans or have any Dencar units but what is the cost of using a Dencar paystation to offer memberships? Besides your merchant fees does Dencar take a percentage to manage your memberships or app? Is there an annual support fee? I haven't...

    Petit 360i long bay

Your competitor seems to have at least some internet presence: https://splashwashweb.wixsite.com/splashcarwash A couple pluses for you is that they close at 6pm and they aren’t open at all on Sundays. Unless your entire town is shut down on Sundays I would consider that a bonus. While the...

    Petit 360i long bay

    A) he should move his paystation, problem solved. B) his quality will be better because they are wiping the dirt and film off when towel drying. That doesn’t mean, however, you can’t and won’t be successful.

New member! Looking to build a car wash

In the Jacks video the owners said the only way to get on the wash property is to enter through the Sheets Gas station property. That certainly doesn't help.

    What holds the pay station?

Randy, besides the nicer finish and lack of a flange is there any other difference? Are there still knockouts on the back of the pedestal mount version? Bricks, just find a local fab shop to build a stand for it, have the enclosure wrapped in vinyl and have the fab shop make some kind of...

New member! Looking to build a car wash

My suggestion is to spend a few days and read through this forum. I really mean read it. There are thousands of pages. If you're even kicking around the idea of spending several million dollars, invest some time reading for free. For someone that's always wanted to own a car wash and has a...

Cat 310 not making full pressure

Try putting a smaller tip in the gun just to see if the pump is capable of higher psi. If you get more thank 900 psi it’s probably not the HP seals. Did you change pulley sizes?

    Crypto Pay Tap users

Mine are on a WSII. I also had another issue but I don’t exactly recall the circumstances. If memory serves me correctly I had a relatively new swiper that was rejecting almost all cards. After calling tech support he was able to see that the cryptotap was messed up causing the issue. I’m pretty...

    Crypto Pay Tap users

I've had two Taps where the first Blue light that is normally always on stopped working. If you tap a card, the remaining lights will flash and the unit still works. One I sent back for warranty repair, the other I just rolled with.

Setting up new NTI TFTN Boiler....

I have to say I was impressed with the Takagi’s today. Last night we lost power at the wash and the power company didn’t get us working again until about 10am. When I fired them up the incoming water temp was 37° and the output temp was 121° with a combined flow of 7 gpm. 2Biz would you change...

Setting up new NTI TFTN Boiler....

Thanks for the explanation 2biz. I finally got my hands dirty with a Takagi. I’m using two 199k units in parallel fed by two Taco 013’s in series to heat water held in a 120 gal storage tank. Units are set at 120F and my tank aquastat which controls the pumps is set at 115F. Have had it in...

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

I can imagine! I'm not sure if Oasis has changed this aspect of the machine but ours circulated heated anti-freeze through all the rails AND through the spray arms. Like I said, our Typhoon was 20 years old and the high and low pressure spray manifolds weren't separated back then. However, the...

Setting up new NTI TFTN Boiler....

2Biz, just out of curiosity, what is this 30 minute timing cycle and what is dictating the percentage of on-time/off-time? I thought you were simply controlling flow to your heaters with the Aquastat once the system is powered up at 32F, flow to heaters at 55F until return temp reaches 70F?

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

I just retired a 20 year old Typhoon last year. It was a great machine but then became a maintenance nightmare. Having just gone through a brand new Typhoon install last week I would say the build quality has greatly improved. The zero degree nozzles are impressive but I wonder how often do...

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

How is the bottom of a vacuum motor a danger? Is the 13 year old going to disassemble the motor and stick their tongue in the hole? You better make sure to never prop open your equipment room door…a toddler could wander in there and get dismembered by a motor pulley or guzzle some tire cleaner.

Anyone try the new Cleveland Float valve?

Was reading the latest Kleen Scene and noticed a new float valve by Cleveland Float being advertised. Sounds like they copied a LOT of features from the Jobe Topaz valves which I use. The Cleveland S5-100 has high flow and handles high temp water for less than half the cost of the Jobe Topaz...
