    Issues with a new SecureCoin

It's been on the shelf a while, but not 20 years. It works fine with tokens, but any coin resets the quarter and dollar coin lights to both on, whether it rejects a quarter or accepts a token.

Arimitsu 516 - how do I increase pressure?

Randy is wrong. Did you not see that the regulator is on the output of a DEMA 453P solenoid?

Arimitsu 516 - how do I increase pressure?

That regulator is for the low pressure setting, maybe presoak or spot free. There's another regulator for the high pressure.

    Issues with a new SecureCoin

No, but I have it on my phone. I do know how to program them. There's no way to alter sensitivity of quarters or dollar coins according to the manual. There's nothing in the manual about this issue.

    Issues with a new SecureCoin

I installed a new SecureCoin CP990U acceptor (Kudos to Kleen-Rite for putting their label over the programming instructions and buttons), and it wouldn't accept quarters at all regardless of the quarter/dollar settings. I programmed in my token and it took the programming and accepted the...

    Multiplexer or relays?

I use the 35 amp mercury relay on vacs. I've seen a coil fail, but not the contacts.

    It’s time to refurbish!

I think you could fit a Dixmor timer on that door if you move the coin acceptor to the right about 1/2", eliminate the pilot light and put the timer above the rotary switch.

    Multiplexer or relays?

You can, the output is pretty robust, but taking the load off a piece of hardware like that is always a good idea. You can get HVAC contactors rated for 30 amps for $15 or a mercury displacement relay for $35 that will last forever.

    Maintenance for Self Serve

Depends. If you want it to be successful, you need to check on it at least once a day. Check everything every day. Filling the changer depends on the size of the changer, I have to fill mine five times a week. Keep it clean, clean, clean.

    Stuck pump and motor.

I'm assuming that's a hollow shaft motor, it can be very difficult to get them apart. Just force it, it'll go.

    Multiplexer or relays?

The only time I'd use the MX-8 output direct would be to switch a solenoid.

Anyone have a D&S iQ self wash direct injection pump stand?

The one I've worked on must be a different generation or something. They hate it even more than I do.

    Stuck pump and motor.

Just drive a pair of flathead screwdrivers into the gap between the pump and the motor, one from each side. Maybe take the bolts out first.

    Multiplexer or relays?

I've replaced IDX multiplexers before. They aren't perfect, but they are pretty reliable. I prefer relays. I strongly recommend a time delay relay for each pump controlled by a bank of isolation relays. People turning quickly through the functions is what causes relays with an inductive load...

    It’s time to refurbish!

A Dixmor LED7 should fit in this plastic box: https://www.homedepot.com/p/4-in-x-4-in-x-4-in-Junction-Box-R5133709/202043437 Some stainless security screws will keep it safe. It may not look nice, but it'll work. Laurel Metal makes boxes for a LED7 and a card reader, maybe they make a box...

After about 50 times it gets a lot easier.

    Cash Counting Machines

Do you just need it to count bills (plain bill counter), do you need it to give you a cash value (mixed denomination counter), or do you need it to sort? These are three separate options.

Anyone have a D&S iQ self wash direct injection pump stand?

It's a nightmare. If it was at least reliable, it wouldn't be too bad. The one I serviced had solenoids underneath for hot water, cold water, and spot free that ran through the pump. There were no shutoffs for any of them, so any time one had to be changed the whole wash had to be shut down...

How to measure Medeco Cam lock

It's measured from the flange that sits flat against the door to the point where the cam rests. It's what they call the "A" length.

    Upcoming competitor

Refresh your vacuums too, it it's an express exterior they'll probably have free vacs which they won't maintain. I have a couple reviews from people that say they'd rather pay to use my vacs than use the free ones at a wash closer to their house.
