Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures

Makes total sense....I still have all the pumps that were original in 1985! Their old, but not old enough to have snap rings holding in the LP seals! Thanks for all the information. I'll give Dynajet a call. I think I like the idea of a pressed in SS sleeve for the HP seals a little better than...

Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures

Anyone know how much you can safely turn/face off of the Seal Case seating face? I realize making them shorter affects how they hold in the Wick Retainers. Asking for a friend!

Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures

Not going to argue with that! You would have thought it would have lost pressure, but it didn't. I didn't have to adjust the regulator or anything other than noticing the hose just started rattling in the attic a few weeks ago....The pump itself never made any different noise than it usually...

Making a 4-port solenoid manifold for my pump stand

Do you have gravity feed tanks or city pressure fed pumps? Equipment is different based on how it's set up. I have gravity fed hot and cold water to my pumps. A simple 2 way Erie Motorized valve switches between hot and cold. Hot is Normally Open so if a motor ever fails, I will know it right...

Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures

Its kind of hard to switch gears with a new pump manufacture when I have 3 spare 310's on the shelf. I had two heads sleeved by Vilco 2 years ago and put them on the shelf. Today the curiosity got the best of me and I took one apart. Here's some pics of the head they repaired. I had them do the...

Replacing Lights - Need info on vapor tight lights

Copy and pasted from other thread you started on the same subject: The 3 bulb fixtures I got from Conservationmart.com are LED ready. I have purchased the 4' tube bulbs (Daylight or 5000K-6000K) from various places for about $4-5 a tube. That's only about $50 per fixture with bulbs. I put up...

Washed out 310 manifolds - With pictures

I figured this post was fitting for the Sticky Thread.... My most busiest bay started making noise about 2-3 weeks ago. Finally got a chance to replace the pump and take the old one apart. The head was a mess. It had one HP washout in the head, but not bad. One place about .060" wide and about...

Vapor Tight Lights - hanging on the wall?

The 3 bulb fixtures I got from Conservationmart.com are LED ready. I have purchased the 4' tube bulbs (Daylight or 5000K-6000K) from various places for about $4-5 a tube. That's only about $50 per fixture with bulbs. I put up the same fixture 7 years ago over my changer. Not a single bulb...

Vapor Tight Lights - hanging on the wall?

This past summer I took out the old Hubble fixtures (2 each bay) and installed the 4' (3) bulb vapor tight fixtures, (4) each bay. I did something similar to pgrzes where all the lights come on using a PLC with Astronomical on/off timing capabilities. At 10pm, 2/3 of all the bulbs turn off and...

    Siphoning Hydrominder

I discovered the same thing when I bought a few to try...Too small to fit a 1/2" ID hose. These actually fit a lot better and I have yet to have one fail...Plus they are a little cheaper. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-12976-plastic-14-foot-valve-with-check-strainer.aspx

    Siphoning Hydrominder

To cut the notch a little easier, I use a side cutter. Like Mep stated, make the cut at an angle so the spray points down. Easy peasy! As you stated, drilling the soft tubing is about futile! Maybe if you heated the bit to about 2000° it would work better! ;)...

    Chemical Tee Manifold advise

Shouldn't need one above the bay as long as you have a CV at the pump to keep weep and P.S. from back feeding.

    Best Spray Gun?

I use SS 18" Flex Wands but not without issue. When its cold and the wand gets bent, it will hold that shape. Then customers barely hang it up in the holster bending it even worse. I'm thinking that using the straight wand and insulated cover might be the way to go...I'm marking this thread and...

    Weep adjustment driving us crazy

Same thoughts here. I had backflow and tank overflow issues early on. Had the hardest time figuring out why? Who would have thought Mark VII would use a Giant Regulator with a built in check valve! Sneaky!

Same here. My numbers are down for the year. This entire year has been one of the worst weather patterns I've ever seen for our area. Its either too hot and humid or cold and raining. Not much you can do to combat this....

    self serve bay not working

His last post said he has touch pads instead of rotary's.... IMHO...I would never have touch pads at a CW....Honestly, I've pulled into carwashes with touch pads and I leave. Wonder how many customers do that? As hard as it is for the majority of customers to use even a rotary switch, I'm...

    Spot free regulator leaking water

I agree to a point mep….My thoughts were to take each of the regulators apart and coat the stem and spring washers with the silicone oil. Then when I install, put about 1/4 inch of the silicone oil in the regulator to help keep the pressure oring lubed, at least on the oil side....I can't help...

    Weep adjustment driving us crazy

A bad CV between where the weep tee's into the HP hose and your pump....If that cv sticks open or does not seat completely, which I have had it happen several times, weep water takes the path of least resistance and flows back into the gravity tanks over flowing them. If that was happening and...

    self serve bay not working

I was reading along and thought you had it figured out! But then read further to see the "High" didn't last long! You didn't say whether you replaced the timer? I'm thinking you fried the output??? Did you put a voltmeter on the contactor coil to see what kind of signal it was getting? Smooth or...
