What check valves do y'all use on the overhead. And do you plumb a separate air line to the overhead for each lp function or one common air line? If anyone has pictures of their overhead setup I would like to see it. I have no experience with this type system. My other SS site has a vfd...

    Paystation for PDQ 360?

Yes, you can buy the coupons from Unitec. I believe they come in packs of 100. You have to have a different coupon for each different wash package. We use them as giveways for our top three washes or sell them when asked.

Laserwash 360 max cars per day?

I have a PDQ M5 with on board dryers and a Washworld Razor with stand alone dryers at another site. I know people who use both sites and they prefer the on board dryers. It drys the car better then the stand alone.

I plan on running 3/8 tubing on all low pressure functions. Looks like the threads are 1/4" on the kips. Does that defeat the purpose of running 3/8 tubing? I don't see any of them on kleenrite made out of Stainless. Is the longevity on brass ok.

I would like your input on what solenoid blocks for air and liquid, flojets, and checkvalves for the overhead you would recommend to rehab this pump stand. Also would you run 1/4 or 3/8 to the bays. Do you think It would be a good idea to mount Stainless tanks and hydrominders above the pump...

    Outdoor lighting controls

I've had the same contactors at one location for almost 5 years and they do not buzz. And if it did start buzzing, change it for less then 10 bucks.

Using Facebook (or other social media) to promote car wash

MEP check out one of our Facebook pages "Pierce Pro Wash". My wife handles it and has done a very good job. Last year we did a giveaway every Tuesday by posting random questions. Out of all the people that would comment or like the post, my wife would randomly pick a winner and give them a...

    Alkaline before Acid?

Right now I have first pass acid and second pass alkaline. I am not so worried about glass or chrome but more worried about getting the car clean. Has anyone tried Alkaline followed by acid and would it do a better job on the body of the car?

Would you rehab this equipment or buy new.

I am getting quotes on new equipment but I am leaning towards rebuilding everything. $5000 to $10000 is allot better then $50,000-$60,000. Especially when I have to redo the entire building also. I am going to install new meters with CC, Coins, and Cash. Which meters would ya'll recommend?

What about the injection feed for the HP functions. Is there much trouble with that kind of set up?

Would you rehab this equipment or buy new.

I am buying another site that has been shutdown for sometime. The site is an hour drive one way from my house. I want something dependable so I am not always working on it. That being said would you rehab or install new SS equipment.

Laser 4000 customer can't drive straight!

I had a High Velocity that was driving me crazy hitting multiple mirrors everyday. I moved the floor markers in some and that helped but the solution was putting in a new Razor. I hardly ever hit mirrors now and its nice not to get phone calls every day!

Do you think the first few minutes of the wash is the most important.

At one of my locations I need to up the throughput as I am adding another top wash. Wouldn't you say that the most important part of the car wash is the first two soap passes and the high pressure rinse afterwards? I think it makes since to speed up the 3X foam, Rain X, Wax, or spot free...

LED lights in Automatic Bay for Sizzle

I cut my wash time almost in half by switching to a Razor and the High Velocity was bad about hitting mirrors and shutting down. It would happen 2-3 times a day. With the Razor I hardly ever hit a mirror. I charge $15 for the top wash. Here is the link to the light...
