Does anyone know how to program a universal remote for gs-400 bay timer?

I use a universal remote, but you won't find the code so you have to have an original then teach it to the universal remote. I bought a cheap sony learning universal remote then taught it the codes from my factory remotes so that I could save those and not have to worry if I lost one or had it...

    Cryptopay trouble

Ditto what Earl said. I read about a lot of possible trouble similar to what's happening with you if used with older software. I sent all of mine to Dixmor to have them upgraded to the latest software before installing the swipers and I have not had one issue.

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

It's nasty down here as well. Schools let out early and they just shut down the University of Kentucky, canceled all classes for the rest of the day, and they never do that unless it's going to be bad. The wash is about 30 yards from my office and I don't even feel like going that far lol. If...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

That's what I first though of, but wouldn't I be sending 120v to the boiler that way? Right now I just have the stat wired to the on/off of the boiler, but there is no power involved, just contact. Is that right? What time would you be home? I appreciate all of your help in this, it really...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

That's what I thought after looking at it today, but not sure how to wire it exactly. What is the correct way to wire them so that they run together off the same thermostat? Also, if I wanted to avoid using a flow switch for now, how would I wire the boiler so that it only comes on when the...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Here is a pick of the control panel on my boiler. Next to the on/off switch, there is a temperature dial. How would the temp dial and aquastat work together? When I mounted the stat probe outside, my thinking was that the boiler would kick on around 30 degrees and then it would heat up to the...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

the one I have with the min and max lever actually works. I just figured it out by listening for the clicks. I have to set it at the second dash for a 10 degree differential. The minimum is about 25 and max is about 1 degree. Should I just tape the stat to the pvc and cover with insulation...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Well at least I was given that one, so no loss there, but I did buy the other for $70. I will read into it tomorrow to see if I can make the other one work. The instructions are pretty vague about using the lever to adjust. If I end up needing to buy one, which one would you recommend?

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Here is a pic of the other stat I have. Not sure of the exact model as I don't have the box, but I have the instructions and they are under it. It is a White-Rogers Brand though.

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I actually have another new aquastat that I will pull out and post a picture. I got it first, but wasn't able to use it because it only had two screw so the boiler would kick on at the opposite of what I wanted. For example, if I used it on the circ pump it would kick off at 32 degrees instead...

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

there is a 1" piece of foil backed insulation on the back of the lines between them and the beam. There was also a piece on the front between the wood and the lines but it has fallen apart and most of it is missing. It eventually fell apart like confetti so I didn't replace the front, but at...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

If you look at the stat pic, right next to the screw in the middle there is a lever to the right. It sits right under a marking that says "min" then you can slide it up to near the dial where a marking says "max". I saw that but wasn't really sure how it would work as there are no #'s involved.

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Are you talking about wrapping the pvc with non-reflective tape before mounting the stat, or talking about measuring surface temp like 2biz was referring to?

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I am pretty sure it is already wired to only kick on with the circ pump on, but still need to verify that. In case it isn't, do I need a relay to do that? I unhooked my stat today and plan on taping it to the return line tomorrow. According to the instructions with the stat, it can be set to a...

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

Here are a couple pics of my bays. As you see, there isn't much protecting the lines, just a piece of wood screwed onto the metal beam and the lines are tucked inside. On my bay that wasn't weeping as much as it should, I just replaced the gun and that fixed it. Hopefully it will hold up.

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

At my newer wash I don't have any hot water and survived last year all the way down to 5 degrees just weeping cold, so I know that you can weep cold and be fine. Problem is, at my older wash if I don't weep hot and it gets that cold then I freeze up. Not sure of the science behind it, but that...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

So at least my thermostat for the circ pump is correct:) Thanks for the explanation, that is exactly what I was looking for. Now I just need to make sure that I wire it correctly, hopefully before the crazy cold hits on Friday. I will take a pic of my boiler thermostat and see if it is the...

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

My current tank is pretty old and rusty, I have been waiting for it to spring a leak but so far it has held up. I wouldn't risk converting it in it's current shape, though that is a great idea if it was newer. I hadn't thought about the weep not being enough to trigger the tankless either, so...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I have it set for the circ pump to kick on around 32-34 degrees then the boiler to kick on around 30. I just figured I needed the circ pump to be on first, but that was the extent of my thinking as I really had no idea how it all works. What temp would I set it on if I attached the sensor to...
