Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

I never figured in the flow restriction, I thought it would just pass through colder water. I guest that was just ignorance on my part. Thanks for the heads up. You say that you would heat the soap and wax. Any particular reason? Do they work better heated? My unit is so old, that keeping...

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

Of course I forgot the important facts:) I have a six bay and am currently using 3206 nozzles. I think the biggest thing is for me to decide what functions to heat to determine how much hot water I need. If I only heat the soap or no functions, then one tankless should be fine, correct...

Need/want to replace hot water heater with tankless

I currently have a large water heater at one wash that I am absolutely sick of. For the six years that I have owned it, I have spent countless hours every year trying to get it to work. I usually replace both thermocouples and that does the trick for a few months, but the last couple of years...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I haven't responded in a few days as I keep forgetting to take pics everytime I go to the wash, but I finally remembered:) Here are a couple pictures of my setup. One is of the boiler, other is of the thermostats. I did move them to a covered location so the temp seems accurate. I see that...

    Kudos to Laurel Vending!

That's good to know, hopefully it wasn't a mistake:) I will definitely send them mine in for repair the next time I have an issue I can't fix myself.

    Weepmizer Settings

Over the past five years I've turned my floor heat on maybe only ten times. That is because I had to do it manually and it wasn't automatic based on the temp. I've spent a lot of time scraping and shoveling ice, though the past couple of years the winter hasn't been that bad in that regard.

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Beautiful setup and excellent pics. I do appreciate you posting them. I will read through the other thread the first chance I get. Unfortunately my setup is very old and limited in what I can do with it. I will take and post some pics the next time I am there. My system is not only old, but...

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

Close ups would be much appreciated. At what temp do you have your boiler set to fire?

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I wondered if the sunlight would affect them, but figured that the pvc surround the probe all around except for the top. I might have enough room to put them in the nearest bay.

Looking for a thermostat for floor heater

I installed two thermostats to control my floor heat, one for the circ pump and another for the boiler. Last night they came on as I intended and all seemed well, but today I noticed that the temp readings are way off. It is 27 degrees outside one one is reading around 45 and the other a...

That's just the start of the weather in this area. If it stayed like that, we would be grateful. It gets much worse...

Whats your thoughts on adding bill acceptors to combo vacs?

When I spoke to JC I gathered that the vacs with acceptors were setup just as you described. They wanted a lot of money for a new door and the conversion pieces for the new lock though. I am surprised that my coin boxes only have cam locks even though they were originally installed with...

Whats your thoughts on adding bill acceptors to combo vacs?

I wanted to add them to my JC combo vacs but was concerned with security as well as the ones that come with the bill acceptors already installed have different locks that are more secure. On the other hand, my bays have bill acceptors in the JC coin boxes and use the same two lock setup that...

    Selling coupons in vending machine

I was thinking about selling $25 for $20 for my self serve bays. What do you print on the envelopes exactly? I want to make sure that it is noticeable even when in the spirals of the vending machine.

    Air machine

Has anyone ever tried one of these conversion kits? https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-38551-conversion-kit-tire-shineair-for-tires.aspx I have a couple of vacs that I am not using and could put this in if it works. There is also one for air only, though the cost is kind of high for just air.

    Air machine

That would save a lot of money, but I don't have a way of running the air line out to the vacs so I have to look at other options. Anyone know of a decent tire shine machine? I've seen some combo air/tire shine but have no idea if they work well.

    Selling coupons in vending machine

Are you selling them for auto or self-serve? What kind of discount are you giving on the coupons? I have a shurvend as well that takes credit cards, dollars and coins so that is why I thought of selling them in the machine.

    Selling coupons in vending machine

Lol that's exactly how it is with my in bay bill acceptors. I'd say over 95% of customers that I see over at the changer once I tell them that they can just put the $'s in the bay, they all say that they didn't know that and head back not needing change anymore. I only imagine if it wasn't...

    Air machine

I want to add an air machine in my vac area and was wondering if I should get a simple air machine or go for one that automatically stops at the set pressure? Or should I buy a combo air/tire shine or air/whatever machine? (I already have shampoo and fragrance all over the place). Any tips or...
