    Quarterly Bonus incentive program

IMO one of the biggest factors for wash (Cars Washed) volume is weather . This factor is beyond control. So, how do you incentivize to do something that can't be controlled. Instead, a bonus on additional revenue per car could encourage upselling.. If you offer memberships a bonus on...

    AVW Dryer Setup

If after "First Rinse" means there is another rinse, no I only did after final rinse. One place I saw did it after a first rinse but before the DA and setting arch. End product wasn't any better but I think he could use less DA because any soapy residue that counteracts DA was gone.

    Touchless Tunnel System

Many operators tried it over the years and few succeeded. Conversations indicated continually changing conditions of dirt and temperature made constant monitoring of cleaning solutions a nightmare. They could use high pressure to the point of knocking the paint off the car and the flakes...

There are reasons touchless tunnels are virtually non existent.

    AVW Dryer Setup

They have a flash dryer + 14 more. IMO overkill. I have had several setups. One had a flash dryer right after the rinse Then 7 more. Turned out a really dry car - perhaps not as much as 14 more. Saw another install where they put flash dryer before the Final rinse, drying agent...

New Build - is it really worth it?

    Last industry article I saw was average $2K / Mo / SS Bat x 3 = $6k, and $6 / Mo/ IBA = $6K or $12/K / Mo or $144K / year. So someone is estimating 5X average?????

Best ways to clean foam generators?

Another issue , particularly i n Warmer climates is bacteria generate scum. This will occur overnight when solution remnants sits in the fomers. A piece of copper pipe in the foamer could reduce this since copper has some anti bacterial properties.

Best ways to clean foam generators?

If you are using Hydrominders and flo jets to feed the Generators toss a swimming pool chlorine tab in the hydrominder tank. This may help keep any bacteria generated goop from forming as well as algae if the generators get a lot of sunlight. If you are not using that type of system try a tab...

    Lava Wall

I put the bubbler at the entrance. Probably more comments than any ever piece of equipment in memory. It makes more of an impression from the car behind the one receiving the bubbles. Inside the tunnel with cloth and soap on the windows the visual effect of lots of stuff s greatly muted.

    Foam brush issue

You don't need foam generators in the ER or above bay. Just another thing to gum up. Plenty of room for ari and liquid to mix and foam from above the Boom to the Brush head.

    Open for Business

I added a side Box for Paper Bill acceptance and later used that to mount the Credit card Swipers . This cut back on Quarter usage.

    Bad News for us all!

What was never clear to me was whether the figure was simply a balance or Balances carried over month to month. It would seem credit card balances would naturally increase with inflation and also as we see credit card usage increasing. I think the more interesting item is the Credit Card 90...

Vac Motor is KR part # VAL 5334. Amtek Motor . I use a regular 2" Vacuum hose since the motor is in the ER. Initially I was going through a motor a year but then started replacing brushes twice a year. Now, they seem to last indefinitely.

    Lava Wall

I did not want to deal with typical product usage for the Sheet / wall applications so I made my own applicator. - Uses 1 Flo Jet at 15PSI and a Vacuum motor for air injection.

Getting the screws out of the round safe

Usually the Allen wrench has enough friction that it will rotate the entire head and pull it back. If not the steel that encircles the Puck lock and tab are easy to grab.

Getting the screws out of the round safe

I also have a Square stub with a hole for a Puck lock welded to mine along with a circular band of steel that surrounds the puck lock to slow down the dingbats who want to attack the Plug lock. So, the standard handles would not work with that.
