    Gas Prices?

Hasn't affected mine yet. Just about everyone is charging $4.49 and up as of last night. My customers are buying big SUVs right now because they're dropping in price while the upper-middle class is buying hybrids and Teslas.

    Carolina Pride Question

The confusion lies in what you're calling "rinse." Hot water for the pump comes from the tank. Hot water is for soap and wax. Cold water is for rinse. All the water comes into the pump from the same inlet. They may label the tank "rinse," but it's not if you have hot AND cold water.

    Carolina Pride Question

It is, and if you plumb hot water to it and have cold rinse, the actual rinse selection is fed direct from city pressure by the solenoid. Only soap and wax draw from the hot water in the tank.

    Help with my Dryers..

If you can swap the outer blower covers and angle them in toward the car, it'll dry the sides.

RV - Truck bay addition to SS wash

Your customers won't want to pull to a different spot to use a standalone dryer. If you want dryers, you really should put them in the existing bays. I have seen a number of people do this and get almost no use of it.

    Carolina Pride Question

It uses a 572 Hydrominder for the "rinse" tank, but the water for rinse is fed to the pump from solenoids, most likely the same as your current setup.

    branding thoughts?

If I had multiple washes, I'd brand them alike, use custom-printed tokens and take them at all the washes, try to keep all the washes equipped and working the same, etc.

    Spot Free Plumbing

If it's green, it might be tire cleaner. There's something contaminating it for sure. Spot free water should be too clean for algae to grow in it.

    Spot Free Plumbing

I have run 450 PSI with 3/8" OD tubing and a 390 pump, I don't think my current cutomers care that it's 225, but the ones at a high end wash do.

Going to single holding tank for SS bays

Yes, the stupid little tanks, the solenoids and all the wiring to them, all the hoses back to the ball valves. I've done the exact same thing three times.

    New Changer

I wouldn't say Standard is a bad changer, but as both a tech and an operator I would always use/recommend Hamilton. I keep a spare of everything for the Hamilton, which has mostly come from eBay fairly cheap. You're not likely to find a Standard hopper used (There is one on there now, I don't...

    Spot Free Plumbing

I use a 3/4 HP motor and 2504 series Procon pump, a 500 PSI SMC regulator, 3/8" OD tubing, and run the pump at 225 PSI.

Going to single holding tank for SS bays

Is that a single barb for the inlet? That's going to cause a restriction in flow when you have multiple bays running. I suggest a minimum of 1" full flow to the manifold. You might want to consider 1/2" hose to the pumps. I use blue 1/2" hose from Kleen-Rite and push-lock barbs with flare...

    New Changer

Definitely Hamilton with Mars bill acceptors. I haven't done anything to mine in the last two years but dump coins in it, and it's 21 years old.

    Hydrominder Setup for HP Soap/Wax

The 511 has an anti-siphon valve. Normally you'd make a hole in the discharge hose off the Hydrominder, but you might end up with a mess if the tank is open. The 506 is the same thing minus the siphon breaker.

    My poor Fragramatics

Fragramatics used to make it, don't know for sure if they still do. It was a nice looking SS piece.
