Your problem is most likely the injector. When it's working properly, it works fine. I don't see the point of replacing thousands of dollars of equipment over a $30 part.

If you do go with FRP, pick a good one. Some of them are so cheap that spray paints and markers bury themselves into the surface. Good ones will let you wipe it right off with paint thinner.
