Last failure I had was failure to open all the way. Yep, pumps running dry could be bad. So far the customers complained and quit trying so I was able to swap it out. Within an hour or so.

I gave up on the Ball float type and went to this. I keep a spare on the shelf, and a rebuild kit. After a year when it goes bad I swap in the spare and put the rebuild in to have that as a spare etc...

When I re did my 8 bays low pressure lines there were we had 7 air and low pressure lines. They were on spools in the ER. Put a piece of pipe thru spools and rested pipe on blocks so they rotated freely . Pulled all 7 at once . Start with furthest bay.

Tough to make generalizations but oil thins as it heats up and as it thins things will tend t spin faster. A possible solution is as soon as your guy gets there see if he can let the conveyor run for 10 minutes straight to warm things up.

FYI the case photo above is mangled because of the times the Disc locks were broken into. Since I did this with the Hockey puck locks - No break ins. I attache the Hockey Puck locks with the larger part containing the portion where you insert the key against the case.

Here is what I did for an air machine where the disc locks were attacked and thought I might use 2 for Coleman Vacs to cover the round locks. Made a slot in the Hockey Puck locks. Perhaps intimidating looking to make them not want to bother.
