looking into either buying new or building a low pressure system.

I've done several, didn't take any pictures of those, but I'll eventually build more and will get pictures then. It's also not complicated, it's just relays daisy-chained together. This is just the relays for one function of a six-bay car wash. This is something similar, the cabinet was...

looking into either buying new or building a low pressure system.

I build a pump control box using small relays, ends up cheaper and cleaner than multiplexers. Flojet pumps without some sort of control are "dead-headed" against the solenoids, which means if a solenoid to a bay hangs open the pump will run and flush your chemical down the drain. The most...

    Low Pressure Additions

Good question, I use Simoniz foam polish with UV protection which I need to market better.

    Low Pressure Additions

I don't know of any equipment that I'd recommend. I've designed and built stuff working for a distributor as well as serviced stuff for 39 years. The best stuff is easy to work on and uses common components. I prefer individual solenoids over blocks, I like the Hydrominder tanks completely...

Wax issue and Crypto par swiper question

At your earliest convenience, I would recommend getting rid of all the steel fittings. It's only a matter of time before they cause more problems. I've started building manifolds out of brass, plumbing the soap and wax to the manifolds, then running 3/8" tubing to the pump. That makes the...

    Futura wheel bearings

The treadle is where they park their tire. The whole machine is usually called the gantry. Wish I could be of more help.

    Low Pressure Additions

My customers love the color-changing foam gun. A lot of them have figured out to apply it and agitate with their own rag which works to release the fine particles and make a deeper shine. The kids like the colors and their parents will let them play with it sometimes for five minutes. It's...

Most Efficient Hot Water System (IBA + SS)

Before sizing, think about what you want to heat. Mine has a huge boiler which was disconnected years ago when fuel prices went really high. I've got business back where I could afford to run hot water again, but before I do I plan to switch wax to low-pressure, and rinse will be cold, so only...

Wax issue and Crypto par swiper question

Sometimes the seal on the solenoid poppet will swell up and not let the solenoid open for flow. In my experience you don't need metering on soap or wax feed to the pumps. They're usually cranked wide open anyway, and if you don't have a flow meter how are you going to adjust anything? It's...

Cat 310 brass seal retainer removal

That sounds like corrosion. I've never seen anything green in a 310. I've even used blue LocTite on the seals when the head had very minor erosion, and still had no problem getting the seal casings out the next time. I suggest coating everything with oil, marine-grade wheel bearing grease, or...

Vector Issue / need some help

If it's not too late to get one on the order, I highly recommend getting a new encoder housing kit, comes with gaskets and sealant. The gear is rusted because water is getting in, and it needs to be sealed or you'll have more problems. I always remove the lockwashers from the cover screws and...

Your post is completely off-topic as usual. Why do you post the things you believe will lead to "heckling and personal attacks?" You can always create a personal blog for your random thoughts like cwguy.com.

    replacement bill counter

Klopp has the best counters for car washes because it will handle wet coins, but the cheapest one is $1100. It doesn't sort at all. This one will off-sort, but only smaller coins than what you're counting. Larger coins will jam it, and you have to stop and remove them. That's the best you're...

Ss bay won't stop shooting spot free water

I have no idea what your equipment is so I can't say. It's not the timer or every function would work normally without the timer running. Despite what you've said, this tells me you're just seeing spray and assuming it's spot free.

Ss bay won't stop shooting spot free water

Are you sure it's spot free running? That would mean the pump is coming on. You would have a relay output stuck closed on the control board, or possibly a bad button.
