    I'm almost 100% sure it's 1/2".

New Car Wash Build - First Time

Your decision could end up coming down to two factors: the materials the machine is constructed from, and the quality of the distributor. Washworld uses a lot of stainless steel that lasts forever (as long as no one runs into something), where PDQ used to use steel for the carriage frame (I...

    Etawah Valley Sales

Jim seems to be a good guy, but he doesn't trust his guys enough to train them and let them make any decisions. What they do know they've figured out on their own.

    Soap tank overfilling

I figured that was because it's weak in the tank already, but that bay at the time has soap in the lines that's from before the tank got diluted. If it does turn out to be a solenoid I'll never figure it out, because I'm just going to replace them all. I haven't had a spare minute to even look...

    Soap tank overfilling

I don't have to throttle the water to make the pumps draw soap, but maybe if I do that and there's a solenoid slightly leaking through I'll see soap with rinse selected on that bay.

    Soap tank overfilling

I'm fixing to replumb it and planned on using natural tubing (It's mostly red now with some black 'cuz that's what I carry). If there is anything backing up, I can't tell. I've unhooked the tubing many times to check for any backflow and can't find anything, and there's no sign of soap on...

Are there any positive people here?

I assume he saw all the posts in the "I want to buy a car wash" sub with all the unrealistic deals and thought the worst. I was pretty hard on one guy, but he was clearly a "drop in once a week and pick up quarters" type.

Are there any positive people here?

Yeah, I think he is why there's a sudden increase in noobs asking about washes they want to buy. I'd like to see Investment Joy run some real numbers including costs. He makes it look like it's as simple as going out and picking up a car wash or laundromat or rental property like it's a rock...

    Soap tank overfilling

Right. Correct, I forgot to mention it, but it was on the same line as the rinse solenoids. The chain does grow slack. I haven't seen it overfill. I'll put something under the tank tonight so I'll catch it if it does.

    Soap tank overfilling

I'm certain it's not the soap solenoids. I've checked them all several times. I'm certain it's not the Hydrominder. I've checked it every day for two weeks.

    Soap tank overfilling

This one has me stumped. Three compartment tank with water, soap, and wax. If I watch it long enough I can see the tank filling, even when no one is using a bay, and it's diluting the soap. Here's what I'm sure it's not: It's not the Hydrominder. No drips before the valve, and I take the...

    Tire Cleaner - Foam Help

I run presoak and spot free through 3/8" tubing. 1/4" is plenty for tire cleaner, foam brush, low pressure wax, and trifoam (unless the run is over 100'). I have one bay that I couldn't bet enough liquid to the trifoam even with the pump at 90 PSI, eventually had to replace that one line with...

    Tire Cleaner - Foam Help

I run tire cleaner and air through the same check valve, just tee'd together along with the presoak liquid each in a separate hose/tubing.

    310 manifold washout

I finally remembered that it was Dynajet who had the good resleeve process but stopped doing them. The owner passed away, his son tried to keep it going but evidently wasn't able to.

    310 manifold washout

Do they do a similar repair with a permanent sleeve in all ports? I remember there was someone who did a repair that added a sleeve but it needed an o-ring to seal and would eventually wash out again under the repair.

    310 manifold washout

Unfortunately Vilco no longer resleeves them. They had a good process, they machined out both the high pressure seal area and the valve o-ring seat area and pressed in permanent stainless steel sleeves that should never wash out again. It's worth the cost because it's about $100 less than a...

Dispense two different functions from same foamy coil hose?

My customers love seeing the triple foam change colors. I wrote my own ladder program where they overlap so I get six colors.
