What are these "vehicle inspections" you speak of?

What is everyone's setup? Are you guys using some kind of manifold block, etc?

I use them all on fresh water - hot and cold. Probably have about 4-5 of them around the wash. I have never replaced one and have some going on 4 years old. I've had Dema's not make it 3 months. YMMV. These will be controlling the city water supply to the pumps on my SS side.

My (2) brass 2-port manifold blocks are leaking water past my solenoids, and I'm need to stop that. I'm going to rebuild / make a manifold using irrigations solenoids ( always available at HD and not only do they last 10x as long as car wash specific ones, cost only $12). Not sure If I want to...

Spring clamps. I was using a mini torch to hear the hose to remove the foot valves. Keep thinking that I had a bad batch of FV's. Started putting spring clamps on everything and fixed the issue.

I'm at $2.50 @ 3:30. Closest competitor, about 2 miles away is at $1.00 @ 2:00, but the place is old and dumpy looking. My place is one of the nicest washes around, EE/tunnels included. Been thinking about going up.

Actually my first thought was those rotating and pivoting HP blasters being a nightmare.

I can just speak from experience. My probe was originally siliconed on the stone facade on the north side of my wash ( in shade ). Constantly was freezing up and when I took an infrared thermo to the building it was reading 20+ degrees higher. The radiant heat was affecting the probe, thus in...

Well, I'll guarantee you it's picking up heat from the structure, throwing off the timing of the weep( you are running a weepmizer no?) Just a degree or two higher and it'll freeze.

I use a heat gun in the past. Where is your probe reading the temperature? I.E. in sun, shade, and how far from the the structure?

The problem I find is that most people I come across nowadays have no mechanical ability. The sound kids, if it's not attache to a game controller or cell phone, they're lost. Plus, most SS washes don't need a F/T attendant - more so a occasional clean up. People are looking for F/T jobs...
