True enough, but if you look at the video each of the wraps cover the entire rear license plates and he has 2 sets. If your not getting a dirt stripe down the rear of the back end then your solution seems adequate.

Don't have a schematic for thhe Coleman Timer. I think it's a 1034 R. If so I would just jump the sih\gnal wires direct from the Coin Mech and see what happened. (Tracing them is a nightmare)
