    So this happened...

Of course you are liable. I see no difference than if it had flown out while you were driving down the road and damaged cars. Of course you meant no harm, no one does when they have an accident. Have your insurance company contact the car wash and get those vehicles fixed.

    scan coin 303

It will do pretty good, but once in a while a quarter would sneak through with the tokens. I would usually just run the tokens back through, since there usually wasn’t a huge amount of them. If you dispense only tokens, that may be more of a nuisance to you than it was for me.

theft device used on Hamilton changers

That’s been happening for 30 years. They pull the harness out of the cup and know which wires to short for the hopper to run. They can also access the circuit through the out of service light holes. The harnesses need to be secured like Fort Knox and the heavy coin cup covers installed. GFCI...

    hydrominder issue

Isn't it the same hose as used on the inlet of the Hydrominder? I'm not sure what size it is, but I always kept a roll on hand because I had many elevated tanks that required a longer hose. I got it from K/R.

    Does Token incentive actually work?

In a nutshell, no. I gave 11 for a ten and 23 for a twenty. I got very few tens and once in a great while, a twenty. I did have two changers, with the other dispensing dollar coins and one token for whatever bill was inserted. Tens and twenties were common in that machine. Hands down, the...

    Newbie Evaluation

I would say a big part of that is because most SS washes are "Old school". I would venture to guess that over 90% of washes dispense quarters, when their price is in multiples of dollars. You don't get anymore old school than that.

I wouldn’t even joke about numbers like that. That’s probably enough info for someone to build an express on top of you.

    Korean "Car Culture" Car Washes

I think many like to say the SS segment is dying because of the many washes that should never have been built back in the late nineties/early aughts. There was a gold rush back then, similar to what is going on with express washes right now. I don't think the level of insanity back then compares...

Anybody know where to find one of these?

This rubber boot is off a little rock/fountain thingy that my wife loves. I tore it while attempting to replace the pump. The cord runs through the small hole and the big part fits around a shoulder made into the bowl of the fountain. I don't even know what to call it to do a good google search...

    Hot water storage failed

I did that at all of my washes, mostly just to gain floor space. Eliminating the boiler inspector was just an added bonus.

    Hot water storage failed

Is there some reason you can't rip it all out and replace with a 199K water heater? I don't know that it would save you any money, but would alleviate the concern over your remaining 17 year old boiler. You could probably sell it and get a little something for it.
