    credit card processing options

My SS only generates 40% of its total income via CC transactions. In my view, the cost of processing is minor. Even at 6%, CC fees represent only 2.5% of my total income. Heck, my trash service is 1.5% of income and it doesn’t produce any income! So how much of a reduction in credit card...

    Unneeded Solenoid?

Check to see if the solenoid is energized when low pressure product is selected. If so, it's to prevent weep water from over-powering the low pressure delivery system. And btw...a closed solenoid valve will be forced open if the outlet pressure exceeds the inlet pressure. So, your thought...

    Fleck 9000 Water Softener

With a 2 cu ft softener (60,000 grains), you can get 51,000 grains of capacity (85%) with minimum salting (6 lbs of salt per cu ft). To achieve the extra 9,000 grains of capacity would require another 9 lbs of salt per cu ft…not an efficient use of salt. So 51K capacity at 4 grains/gallon...

    Slight Pulsation In Bay...PUMP?

A couple of possibilities if the pump is sound: Since most carwash pumps are gravity fed, there is a ever-so-slight chance that an air bubble is trapped in the head. Turn the pump on and CAREFULLY loosen the discharge fitting at the pump head. It will get you and the surroundings wet so be...

    Wipe new-as seen on TV

If it works as advertised, maybe it's just repackaged Red Max Pro or Zep Wet Look floor finish.??. Many of my friends at RV.net have been "restoring" their old, faded fiberglass motorhomes and travel trailers with the stuff. http://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/25818736.cfm

    Water in my CAT 1540

I suspect a cracked plunger or cut plunger retainer o-ring. High pressure water can be forced into the crankcase with either situation.

Is There A Problem Pouring Concrete Over Existing Bay Slab

Several operators in my universe have overpoured their bays to install new floor heat tubing. With good planning, it can save thousands of dollars in demolition and hauling expense.

    Programmable Relay or PLC

Yeah, you're correct. But...I wanted to get the unit working quickly. And, since I know how to navigate through and change FB values with the cursor keys, I decided to leave out all that "fancy stuff". :p (This is starting to sound like our "post game needle sessions" at the golf course...Ha!)

    Programmable Relay or PLC

I've been running an old shampooer/vacuum on an Idec Smartrelay for about a year. It counts 4 coins to start, outputs for 4 minutes, sounds a last minute alert, allows additional coins at any time, and even provides a 30 second grace period to restart the vac with one coin. Additionally, with...

    Best Check Valve???

    Rego C250SS 1/4" or C375SS 3/8" In 20some years, I think I've replaced no more than 5 o-rings. IIRC, I've got at least 60 of them.

    Programmable Relay or PLC

Yeah...but donchaknow that without all the User Menus that allow you to customize your blow-out timing, antifreeze timing, bay sequencing, number of bays controlled, and manual system testing...your program uses only 59 blocks.:D

    I was bored...lol

Since 95% of your customers are experiencing problems, it might behoove you to reevaluate your instructional signage. And, if failure to select is the primary cause of your customer issues, the addition of an “Auto Start” controller to your system might be an appropriate upgrade. No refunds...

    Emergency Preparedness--Generator

Another option for 2000 watt portable inverter/generators is Champion. I've seen them on sale for less than $500 at Sam's Club or Costco. These units are highly regarded in the RV world due to their relatively low cost, reliability, and quiet operation...a very big issue for "campers". Like...

Cat 310 - Water in the Oil

A cracked plunger may not be obvious until you remove the retainer. Then, suddenly it comes off the crosshead in pieces. Retainer o-ring and backup ring damage will be obvious as soon as they are exposed. In either case the crosshead will be corroded and should be lightly polished with emory...
