The dollar coin option is important poll

The "non-partisan" Government Accounting Office has recommended discontinuing production of the $1 note as a cost savings measure. http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d11281.pdf Following their recommendation would likely moot the $1 coin argument presented by the former member of Congress

    Dollar Coins

As an early adopter of the $1coin, I could write a book…(ok, maybe just a couple of paragraphs)…about the trials and tribulation associated with the conversion. Keep in mind that I began in 1999, dispensing Susan B Anthonys and quarters, followed by SBAs only. I had to deal with multi-coin...

    Recirculating Pump For Trough Heat

The Taco 007 will work just fine. My 3000 sf house with baseboard heat…approx 180 ft of copper-fin convectors and approx 250 ft of ½” copper pipework… uses a 007.

Jimmy, Don’t you have Coleman’s digital display timers in the meter boxes? If so, they can be programmed for “Test” time and operated with the infrared remote control…(available at www.hpws.com/timemstr.htm)

    Cat 310 Pressure Loss

    1. Replace the spray tip. When the trigger gun is closed, pressure increases due to the weep port inside the gun…it’s usually smaller than the spray tip. (Always replace the tip first on low pressure situations) 2. Check the weep system check valve for that bay. If the cv is leaking it will...

Rubber hose or vinyl reinforced hose

Except for tank to pump water supply and by-pass plumbing, I prefer poly tubing and push-lock fittings everywhere possible because they’re fast, simple, easy to assemble and disassemble with no tools required. Air manifolds Soap/wax/ps/tc/fb manifolds LP supply lines to bays Water supply to...

    weep systems

The HPWS system is fully automatic and works well. MINUS 17 here this week and no freeze-up. I developed the original concept for foam brush systems. HPWS has evolved the program to include wands and foam guns. If your spot free rinse system uses a single repressurization pump (most do)...

Foam Brush Air and Liquid Settings...

My system uses three ¼” poly tubes out to the roof-top mounted plumbing trough. The “generators” are directly above the booms…inside the insulated and heated trough. Two tubes supply the liquid and air to a tee in front of the strainer/generator. The air line feeds the branch of the tee…it...

Foam Brush Air and Liquid Settings...

This is what I use for "foamers". It's a Hypro 3350-0082 inline strainer...1/4" FNPT or 1/2" MNPT threads on each end. They work great! Or, make your own from PVC pipe and fittings, stuffed with pieces of plastic pot scrubber (Chore Boy) or 3M scrubber.

Mix Tank Pump Supply Water Baffles??

Try this... Tighten (or loosen) the float valve 5 to 10 degrees beyond vertical...so the float rod is not straight up and down. It will at least reduce the sloshing.

    Replacing old compressor

The check valve fixed it. $11 at Grainger I took my 20 gallon portable just in case I broke something. Good thing because I carry a 30” breaker bar in the truck. I needed it to break the old check valve loose!!! And, since I had the backup, I hooked it up and took my time…lots of deferred...

What did I tell you... ...well, OK...I don't have to junk it but, today it started leaking from the pressure switch. Gotta replace the in-tank check valve.

    Tips on Increasing RO Output

Incorporating a tempering valve to maintain optimal feedwater temperature is a very effective measure because the viscosity of water varies with temperature. When water molecules permeate the membrane at 77°F (the optimal temperature), the viscosity of the water is lower than at 50°F. A...
