    IBA floor rails.

I purchased mine from Recycled Plastic Factory. They use recycled plastic, are solid....and I got them in Canary Yellow for about $40 apiece. How did you anchor them into the floor? Galvanized (or Stainless) lags and lead anchors? How deep? How did you avoid the floor heat?

    IBA floor rails.

Greg...any chance you could post some pictures of the plastic parking block install? Apart from the trickly (floor heat issue) install....I'm also somewhat concerned that people will be able to drive over the plastic blocks. With the aluminum rails....It's VERY difficult (although not...

    What length vacuum hose?

I buy 50 foot rolls, and cut into 1/3's. 16.66 feet long.

    IBA floor rails.

My 25 y/o wash has 3.5" aluminum guide rails that are getting close to wearing through. Like your wash, people tend to run down the right side. The solution to replacing the rails are few. There was a thread on this forum (somewhere), where people replaced the metal side rails with plastic...

    Bay Floors

Check out Tamms Thin Patch. Nothing can really fix "cracks". They can, at best, be sealed. I think you're asking how to revitalize the concrete floor? My bay floors were getting worn to the point where the aggregate was starting to show. I skim coated the bays with Tamms Thin Patch....and I...

    STA Hamilton Validator - Repair

FWIW.....I've been running Iowa Validators in my ACW's for years with GREAT results. The Iowa Validators take Hamilton TokenNotes. They are a drop in replacement for the XE validator.

Cat 3535 Crank Oil Seal replacement

My 25 year old Cat 3535 is leaking oil from the crankshaft oil seal (Pulley-side....non-pulley side is OK). We've changed the oil religiously annually. How bad a job is it to replace from the OUTSIDE? If memory serves me correctly...I was able to pull the oil seal on a Cat 623 from the...

    MEI Validator stealing 5's

Thanks for the advice. You were pointing me in the right direction. I found a female pin inside the MDB molex connector had "widened". This caused intermittent contact with the mating pin. It was a matter of "jiggling" a bunch of cables until I could locate the bad plug. Slightly closing...

    MEI Validator stealing 5's

My Shurvend vendor has a MEI validator (with a recycler recycling the 5's). It has started intermittently "stealing" a five dollar bill. The bill is accepted, but fails to give credit. It will do this with back to back 5 dollar bills. Ideas on how to fix?

    Fleck brine valve leaking through

Also....if you have an RO machine....do NOT under any circumstances run hard water through it. It'll ruin the membranes ASAP.

    To Dampen.....Or Not?

My gut says that the location probably doesn't matter......but my gut has been wrong many times before! This same "gut" says that a 30 year old accumulator isn't doing ANYTHING...even if it's not leaking. The bladder is certainly shot after that much time???

    Trash bags... where to buy?

I've shopped around....and always end up at Webstaurant.com . Be careful...they have the best prices, but gouge you on the shipping. I've still found the total price to be cheaper, in spite of the jacked up shipping. Shipping costs come way down if you buy a large supply at one time...

    To Dampen.....Or Not?

Per my earlier comment about the pulse hose being installed VERTICALLY UPWARDS......remember that water compresses very little...and air compresses quite a bit. I think a lot of the dampening effect comes from having an "air chamber" at the top of the pulse hose.

    To Dampen.....Or Not?

Original build had Cat dampeners. When they died...I tried Giant. The bladders would last about 6 months. I replaced them with Hypro dampeners...and they work well. Rebuild bladders are reasonably priced. I also have 24" Hypro pulse hosed Tee'd in also (as overkill). Needless to...

    Hamilton Goldline lost its mind

FWIW....I had a non-resettable counter in the "total vending" auditing section that went beserk. It said the cash amount totaled something in the MILLIONS. It can't be reset. I never figured out how only one data point went that crazy.

    Paraplate regulator stem corrosion

Quick answer....yes it's normal. I keep several spare BR10 and BR5 stems around. It's a normal service item if and when they fail. Clean the regulator, replace the stem....and replace the orings and forget about it for several years.

car wash floor freezing up bad

Although rare....the vanes on the circulating pump can degrade. It sounds like you have some impediment to flow....air, bad circulator...or a flow restriction of some kind. Also... Not so sure about mixing the pink and green glycol???

I would not open that door....

FWIW....I pay to have someone check my wash at least morning and late afternoon/evening regardless of the weather. 20 years ago....I was almost tempted to tell my evening guy to stay home, since it was raining and was forecast to rain for several days. When my guy went to the wash (and opened...

Door operator opening slow when cold

I've measured, and replaced the seals. It wasn't rocket science to do. Regarding the circuit board....I have a VERY early set of doors. The controls were completely external to the motor/gearbox. What few relays (etc) that have needed to be changed....were socketed, and easily replaced...

Door operator opening slow when cold

I have a Wyndstar door with a 208v 3 phase operator. When it is very cold outside....it opens after a protracted delay....maybe 2 minutes or so. I don't think it's electrical. There is good 3 phase power going to the unit. When the unit receives an "UP" signal, you can hear the relays...
