I'm sorry, but as this was a 12 year old thread that was specific to a site having some issues, it would probably be better if you sent me a PM describing exactly what model of CAW you have, and what the issue is you are experiencing. Will be happy to try to assist, but this original thread...
If the green light is flashing 3 times every 5 seconds, the PLC node is not communicating to the CAW. Usually this is a connection issue. Make sure you are using Belden 8760 throughout all the cable runs. The shield wires should be tied together, but should only connect to a ground in one...
If you don't have the bayplate, the concept is still similar. As the vehicle is leaving, the gantry photoeye input should come back on, then the backup photoeye input along with 2 pulses of the tire finder photoeye. The inputs will vary depending on the exact model, but there is an I/O chart...
Going forward and back is likely not going to resolve it. I'm going to assume you have a setup using a physical bayplate on the floor and an air hose as the backup air switch. the machine needs to know the vehicle pulled forward and that it has left the bay before that control power will drop...
On a SGMX5, as the machine comes back to the home position and reset occurs, we are looking for the vehicle in the wash to exit. This varies a little depending on what vintage machine you have, and what types of bayplates (physical or phototyes). We are looking for transitions of these as the...
If it's flagging a vehicle left early code, it's likely losing the bayswitch signal for more than a few seconds so it thinks the vehicle has left. It should usually give you a few minutes to get back into position before it would fully reset. I'd recommend you call in on our customer line...
Those keypad timers should be able to power up without anything connected to it. I'd power down that coinbox, disconnect the additional cables except for power, then try powering it up. Next, I'd try to get into programming mode. Press and hold the MODE, and SELECT buttons simultaneously...
If your machine wasn't built to include the hot wax option, it won't have the relays, routing solenoids, etc. to activate it. Just to keep it simple, 2 drying agents and ColorWave. It doesn't matter what drying agents you want to use, but the order of the passes won't change on your machine.
Correct, really your only option would be to replace the Clearcoat with Graphene. You wouldn't be able to add a hot wax option because you are already using the 2 drying agents it has available. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of flexibility in the program in the older units related to expansion.
On a SGMX5 FX3U model, you unfortunately don't have the flexibility to change the sequences of the packages as you do on the newer machines with WashBuilder (FX5U machines). As you mentioned, if you do tire chem to the rear, you have the return pass with HP. The next step is always a mapping...

Check the programming in your keypad timer. Whichever key you have setup as your spot free function, you need to ensure all of your bays are programmed the same. As an example, if key 0 is your spot free rinse, if you have it setup as selection option 11, that is low pressure only, so no main...
Please upload a couple of photos of the machine so the group can help identify it for you. There is a company called RACO that makes equipment. If it happens to be a RYKO, I could help you.
There isn't a timer that controls that. It's usually based upon a photoeye or loop detector transitioning at the end of the wash. If it is a photoeye and they are going in/out of alignment, it could think the car has passed so it would close the door.
