In one helluva jam. Need help & advice

Flush or backflush what ever you want to call it MEPI. All my RO systems do it. I checked one system I put in 2003 last week and it is putting out 007 TDS and I have not changed the membrane in 12 years. I have 2 others running on the original membrane that still put out below 10 tds that are...

water tight in manuals , or not

I have compared T5 to LED many times and for me it always comes out better to go with T5. You can get T5s with the same Kelvin (color) 5000k to 6500K with very similar Lumens ( actual light output) to LEDs. ON my last wash conversion it would have taken 53 years to save enough on electricity to...

    1 1/2" water line?

I have one location that has 2 IBA touchless and 3 SS bays that is fairly busy that uses a 1 1/2 inch water line. I added some additional holding tanks to each IBA, about 75 gallons per IBA. This gives me plenty of water to run on the busiest days with no problems. You can spend $200 for holding...

In one helluva jam. Need help & advice

You mentioned that your membrane was clogged and that it is fairly new. The membrane should have a back flush feature. It sounds like the membrane is not getting back flushed if it clogs quickly. Also if you use a water softner You could put a simple hydrominder on top of the tank and set it to...

Buying a Car Wash / Phase 1 Environmental

I am selling one of my washes that is on a old construction grade land fill. The Buyer is picking up all costs of the phase one and 2 audit. Once I get it sold I will elaberate on all the steps that they had to take. Everything has passed thankfully and the deal is almost closed. If you are...

    Self-Serve Car Wash Security

All good advise Randy. One thing that I like to do is have layers of different locks on things that hold money. The crooks have to defeat 2 to 3 lock before they can get to my stuff.

    Problem with Backflow preventer

They are supposed to periodically flow water like that. When it does this it is equalizing pressure between the 2 sides.

    Best Heat tape for trough!!!

I have been using the winter guard WET for 20 years in 4 locations to heat my troughs and never had one problem. The WET version has a extra layer around it so it is a bit more than standard cable. When I put mine in they also had a 220 volt version.

Solar Power at a Self Service Car Wash?

When ever I think of solar power I think of the huge solar power generating plant south of Las Vegas. Millions was spent on it with government subsidies and it was designed by experts. Now that it is up and running it is 40% less efficient than was projected because the EXPERTS forgot to figure...

Solar Power at a Self Service Car Wash?

I think there is a wash in Fruitland Idaho that has a solor setup. The guy who installed it comes by once a year trying to get me to put his system in but I have not been interested.

    Help with Ryko OHD 2001

It is on the pump stand probably in your equipment room. It usually sits next to the big pump with several other solenoids but the big brass one is the one to check. You large high pressure hose that goes out to the bay should come off this valve. You will see a small 1/4 inch air line that goes...

    Help with Ryko OHD 2001

The big brass Lexair air valve is probably the problem. It opens to let water go to the arm and is actuated by a small air line. Sounds like it is not closing completely. First take off the air line going to it to make sure the air valve is not leaking air to the solenoid and keeping it slightly...

    Best Coin Acceptor?

I must be the only one using Secure Coin EP5. I love them. With the newer style hinged coin path and 5 coin acceptablity they are my choice. QTR, dollar coin and 3 dif tokens they have worked well for me. The slim profile helps in some of my vacs where a slug buster 3 just is too wide to fit.

    Downturn in business???

It is the post 4rth of July blues. A lot of people get paid the first of the month and with the first weekend being a holiday the tend to over spend and then tighten the belt the following week.

I can generally find generic parts for all my Ryko parts. Most equipment mfg. like to sell you what you think are propietary parts at huge prices.
