    Para plate Timer

If at any point you turned off all the time switches with the power on, you ruined the timer.

Does vacuum dirt smoke or catch on fire?

It was probably the wet dirt that smelled "yucky." It can get really bad if you don't dump the dirt every day.

    Make your own soap?

I know a guy who mixes caustic soda with Witconate AOS. I wouldn't mess with that. With the rollover, you could just use the Witconate since all you really need is a foaming agent/lubricant.

    Cat 3535 Manifold Repair

It wasn't Vilco. I've sent a bunch to them. It was someone Kleen-Rite used for a while.

    Cat 3535 Manifold Repair

I forget who it was that did the insert with an o-ring. I know a couple guys who used them, and a couple years later the manifolds washed out under the insert and were useless.

    Rowe changer parts -

I threw away everything that was left when I did the conversion. The hoppers were so worn out that it might take $30 or $40 before it shut down. I probably should have saved the smaller things like the detector and LED, but they're long gone now.

    Cat 3535 Manifold Repair

I.B., have you used that one? Do you know if they press in permanent seats or use an insert that requires an o-ring?

    Cat 3535 Manifold Repair

I haven't used them, but others here have and haven't had an issue. They do 3535 manifolds. http://idspumprepair.com/resleeving.php

    Seperated Chemicals

It will not foam when you mix it unless you intentionally lift your mixing blade to the top and let it aerate the chemical. If you can cut metal with a grinder and drill a hole in a piece of metal, you can make your own mixer that will fit into the opening of Kleen-Rite's five gallon jug. If...

    Rowe changer parts -

FWIW I gutted a BC1400 and put Hamilton parts in it. I got everything used except the validator and the conversion bracket, which came from Etowah Valley. The face of the changer still looks fine, so for less than $2,000 it's a relatively new Hamilton. All I had to do besides the parts was to...

Biggest Pet Peeves --- and solutions

That's unlikely. It takes pretty strong metal tools to pick locks. It takes longer reach than a 3" plastic pick to get a vendor to drop product.

    Seperated Chemicals

I made a similar mixer to stir a 55 gallon drum. I cut a flat piece off a sheet of stainless and twisted it into a propeller, drilled a hole in the center, and attached it to a piece of threaded rod. It made enough movement of the fluid that I had trouble holding onto it or it would pull...

Need about 50 padlocks keyed alike

The site I linked has several brands and types. It looks like most of them can either be ordered keyed alike or to your existing keycode. There's a small brass padlock you can order keyed alike that's $3.17 apiece. I'd suggest calling to see if you can order more of the same later and get the...

Wash with septic and well - how know water usage?

Hopefully there's a good silt separating system in place. Car wash waste and mud will fill a septic system very fast. You might need a really good surveillance system in case someone dumps something hazardous into your pits so you can go after them for damages. It can get insanely expensive...

    Decreasing Time Between Functions

Earl Weiss will disagree, but I like individual adjustments for each line, except high volume ones like presoak and spot free. Increasing the pressure and reducing the flow will get the product to the gun really fast. Air on tire cleaner and presoak help speed it to the tip.
