    Drying Station?

Here's a cheap one, I walk through and check bays when it's busy to make sure there aren't any obvious issues, and I put a few coins of time on the meter for the customers. I try to make sure they see me.

I'm interested in adding a one bay car wash/dryer to my custom home build, recommendations?

If you're considering buying new equipment and you don't already have 3-phase, this project could easily reach $300,000.

    Leasing out a lube shop

I'd like to find out what it could or should rent for before we even bother looking into buying the property.

    Leasing out a lube shop

My business partner and I are looking at a self-serve car wash on land with a three bay lube center, and the entire property is for sale. We are not interested in running the lube center and would lease it out. I'm hoping someone here might have a rough idea what we could get for it, or can...

Losing high pressure with weep on.

The way I test them is to run each bay on soap to get the check valve hot, then switch to rinse and feel it. If it's bad it will get cold.

Close vacs because bays so busy?

My wash is set up that way too. People can go around and get to the bays from the back, but they don't often do that. I'd have to agree with shutting down the vacs to get more cars through the wash. If more of my customers spoke English I'd try asking them to vacuum and then move to detail.

Need more information about the equipment. Make sure the pressure from the Flojet isn't exceeding the MOPD rating of the solenoid.

    Dealer touchless

It wasn't a loaded question, it was a place to start. How many people are you looking to eliminate from the workforce, and what is their annual salary? How many cars per day are you looking to clean? Are looking for a low budget alternative to a real unit like the Water Wizard 2.0 or are you...

Losing high pressure with weep on.

Yes, it has to be the weep check valve. Closing the ball valve is stopping the pressure from being lost out the bad check valve.

    IDA Certified?

I've been on the service/supply side of car washing for decades, including a fair amount of detailers, and I never knew there was an IDA. If you make up your own certification, design a logo, and post a decal in your window, it will have the same effect on your customers and won't cost $700. ;)

How to change Mercury timer to count up

You will have to change your timers to Dixmor if there isn't an option for count-up with what you have.

I'm interested in adding a one bay car wash/dryer to my custom home build, recommendations?

He does, and it seems unrealistic. The lawn sprinkler car wash you posted looks like a bad joke.

    No water thru pr1000

Your setup uses the PR1000A to supply the pumps with water. If you tried to send the city pressure to the pump, it couldn't draw the soap and wax because they're not under pressure. You can eliminate the regulators by adding another tank to let the pumps get their water, also at gravity...

I'm interested in adding a one bay car wash/dryer to my custom home build, recommendations?

I feel like you'll become the neighborhood laughing stock for having something like that thing literally put together with lawn sprinkler parts in your garage than using professional pressure washers and chemicals and good old fashioned elbow grease. The world's premiere detailers charge...

    No water thru pr1000

The simplest setup is a water holding tank with a float valve plus the soap and wax feed that you already have. I tried the PR1000A regulators at a couple of car washes that had a small water tank for each bay. They were going through pump manifolds like crazy, not to mention the leaks. It...
