Is this (Ceramic) Wax worth it? Advice

The "12 GAL" marker you see is to tell you it's 12 gallons remaining at the line. It's definitely either a 15 or possibly 20 gallon drum. I don't think it's 30 either.

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

It would surprise me a lot less if it was done by the installer. I hadn't thought about that possibility.

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

All I can say is that two of the three people told me it was installed with the 5CP6120s. The third one has the exact same brand and size pulleys on the pumps and motors as the other two, so I would have to assume that they were all the same at installation.

    More Austin area breakins

This guy is hitting car washes around town. He's destroyed four Fragramatics vacuums at one wash owned by my business partner, and I actually saw him there at 3:00 in the afternoon Jan. 25th but didn't realize he was the one breaking in until I got these images today. The second image is a car...

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

They don't usually cause any issues, although I have worked on three different car washes with this same equipment, and for some reason they used 5CP6120 pumps AND used pulleys of the same size on the pumps and motors. This makes the pump cavitate all the time on soap and rinse because the...

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

Usually by the time I get to it the GS-27D has already gone bad and been unhooked.

    Thoughts on Ginsan Pump Stand?

There's a low-pressure check valve inline on the line from the "hot" water tank that might be bad and causing cavitation. I think the valve is under the ball valve at the tank. The stand itself is fine. The plumbing is awful. I've removed the manifolds on a couple and plumbed everything off...

    ACW 4 Controller Issue

FWIW, I got a pure sine wave UPS for $129 a couple years ago. I had similar issues with my changer, but from very brief power outages. If you have a worry about a UPS getting too hot inside the cashier cabinet, you can always wire it inline on the power inside the equipment room.

Splash n dash or regular self serve set up?

Most pumps only want the plumbing flooded and don't require that there be actual pressure from gravity. General pumps can run with 9' of head.

    VAC wiring

That is an accumulating timer if it's the original. Imonex makes a mechanical acceptor that takes quarters and .984" diameter tokens, problem is it will take all tokens that size. The easiest conversion is to use a multi-coin electronic acceptor and replace the timer with a GS-409 timer. If...

Especially Coleman. I can build a 6-bay equipment set for less than half the cost of a 6-bay Coleman Super Saver.

    RO Question

In my experience, it will begin to spot noticeably when the TDS is above 30. It's normal to fluctuate some, it usually starts at a higher number and drops as the unit runs. For this reason I like to set it so it runs as much as possible each time it comes on, which means using a tiny magnetic...

    Adjusted Sewer Rates

We've had the SCWA trying to get the sewer rates reduced over carry-off and evaporation for at least the last 20 years. About 75% of my overall costs are sewer.

    RO Issues

I had a customer years ago with a very similar problem. It ended up being a very fine silt that would go right through a 5 micron filter. I put in a .35 micron, the finest I could find, and it solved the issue. The prefilter had to be changed about once a month or it would stop flow to the...
