I'd dispense dollar coins from the changer if I could get them. I can't even get dollar coins to put in an auto cashier hopper so people won't have to get 56 quarters back in change paying for a basic wash with a twenty.

FWIW I stopped at a gas station a few blocks from my wash the other day and noticed something interesting. The one I usually use, near my home 20 miles away, I could go look at the purchased amounts and all of them will show a random amount because someone purchased gas with a card. I looked...

    Hot water storage failed

You can buy crimpers to make hoses, but it's so cheap to order them from Kleen-Rite that I can't get the components for the same price as their hose assembly.

I would suggest rebuilding what you have. I can't tell much from your photos, but it looks like stainless steel so it'll last forever. The high pressure side is simpler than it looks, and yours could be simplified further. Overhauling it yourself will at the same time teach you how it all...

I believe there will be a lot of work and money involved in going all cashless. If you do, I would highly recommend a system that allows for prepaid/rechargeable cards and fleet cards. You may still need or want a central paystation to sell those cards for cash, otherwise if the wash is in a...

Correct Dilution Ratio for Soap and Wax?

I pay little attention to recommended dilution. I use the tip that makes the soap work and put on a show.

    Fittings leaking

I've built at least 50 sets of equipment using blue Loctite on all fittings except for anywhere something will need to be serviced, like check valves, solenoids, and regulators. I've had a couple guns stolen in the last month, so I've picked up a bottle of red Loctite for those.

    Installing used units

There's not likely to be a general service company that does this. Most machines require specific knowledge to install. Your best bet IMO would be to find a distributor who can sell you a machine, install it properly, service it and teach you about it.

    Fittings leaking

You would normally use both tape and pipe dope on larger fittings, but it shouldn't be necessary on 1/4 and 3/8" pipe thread. The check valves pictured are almost certainly not British straight threads. I'm still curious about them "bottoming out." Tapered pipe threads should get tighter and...

    Fittings leaking

That's a possibility. Pipe thread into the check valves shouldn't bottom out. Just curious, why three check valves on the left side of the manifold? I use one for the three combined, tire cleaner/presoak/air. They're all roughly the same pressure so nothing backfeeds, and less to go wrong.

    Self Service bays-low pressure-cat pumps

Don't know what you mean by "bog down," maybe the belts are loose. How do you know the wand isn't pushing 1200? Put a tee on the wand with a new gauge to check. Oil leaking means a bad seal, just change the seal.

Advice needed: hp pump trips breaker

If this is the case, you most likely have a dead short in the wiring to the motor, or the motor is completely fried (which should have shown up in their test). Unhook the wires at the motor and engage the contactor to eliminate the wiring as the problem.

Advice needed: hp pump trips breaker

Does the motor spin up at all or does the breaker trip instantly? Water dripping into breaker box theory doesn't make sense unless it caused a physical problem in the box. Maybe pull the new breaker out and look at the connections behind it.
