    Major life decision

Seems like the tunnel operators mostly keep to themselves, at least the chain operators do. I know several chemical salesmen and they all tell me that's the most difficult door to get your foot in. They hardly ever will talk to you at all, and if they're willing to let you in they're first and...

    Tire cleaner working by itself

Did you ever get these problems fixed? https://www.carwashforum.com/threads/alarm-87-on-water-wizard-2-0-need-help.18178/ https://www.carwashforum.com/threads/ww-2-o.15277/

    Tire cleaner working by itself

You do still have an issue with another solenoid to the bay that was running. The solenoid that's bad is only there to keep from wasting chemical if the others don't close properly.

    Tire cleaner working by itself

Most manufacturers don't put air control solenoids on their systems at all. I prefer 120V because you can usually just unplug it for service. There's one inline on the power to the solenoid in OP's photo. With the ones that use 24V, you have to find a fuse or breaker if there even is one, or...

    Nozzles blocking

IMO it's much more likely to be coming from the pump or something before it. If a HP hose is disintegrating so bad that chunks are coming loose, it would have been leaking really bad first.

    Tire cleaner working by itself

All air to the tire cleaner system is shut off when no bay is called for. Nothing wrong with 120V if everything is wired properly.

    Prep Hose

I use blue Continental hose. It lasts 5-6 years without dry rotting and doesn't ever break.

    Quarter Thieves

My wash had a sign on the changer that said it dispenses a mix of tokens and quarters. It worked for a few years, then the owner at the time said he was buying $500 to $1000 quarters a week to keep up. At that point we changed the acceptors to take .984 tokens and he would mix about 10% in...

    Prep Hose

Ask for Continental pliovic hose. It's a bit more expensive but well worth it. Comparing that to regular bay hose from Kleen-Rite is like comparing Red Wing work boots to Brazos from WalMart.

    Worldpay B.S Charges

My guess would be they're charging you for not being in PCI compliance. That would be the $199 charge you've been disputing. So now they're charging you separately for American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa. PCI compliance is voluntary, and from what Cryptopay has told me their...

    Tire cleaner working by itself

It looks like the solenoid is before everything, including the air stack. The air for the pump comes off the tee, through the air regulator, then to the pump. If you follow the wire going to that solenoid, it's probably going to one of the control units that I can see at the very top of your...

Re-wire SS Vac for detail shop use

If you aren't worried about them being left on unnecessarily, you can just add a 30A toggle switch. That's how most vac manufacturers sell them. You don't need a separate fuse or internal breaker or relay, just don't have more than one vac on a 20A dedicated circuit. I've set up vacs for...

    Tire cleaner working by itself

It looks like there is a solenoid to the entire air supply, but it's either also stuck open or it's been unhooked from power and had the plunger removed.

    " The Prospector" Product Review

I haven't used "The Prospector," but I have made a sifter that works well, and even with that if I don't clean the vacs every single day and sift for coins, it's useless. I just dump it all in the trash now.

Counter "Time UP" ++ Bonus Time

There's no way to do what you want in the timer program. You can only give a bonus of time on coins deposited, a single bonus once X coins is reached, a bonus each time X coins is reached, or a bonus for every coin once X coins is reached. The timer doesn't control CC time, so if there isn't a...

Secret to putting push-lok fittings on

It registered in my head as "pipe cutting lubricant." That would not be a good idea.

    Switching to count up.

It seems odd to me too - I'm most familiar with Hamilton's D.A.N. system which adds the charge for the next increment as soon as it's reached, not after it's used up.

Secret to putting push-lok fittings on

I would think that a lubricant might not only break down the hose, but would weaken the "lock" on the barb.
