Which would you do, if anything ? Need some recommendations

Not in semi-rural Texas. There's a car wash in Seguin, a double Laser 4000 that has at least 5 or 6 employees all day for prepping and after-care, and they charge $6/7/8/10.

    Chemical Tee Manifold advise

If everything is working right, there's no need for a check valve on the high-pressure line. It should stay full of water and not allow anything back into it so it doesn't need to fill.

    HP Soap not drawing

Take them loose from the solenoid and look inside. If the flare is cracked, you can see it.

Wires burning inside Fragramatics SAV-F unit

I'd replace any wires that are burned to the point that the insulation is brittle or missing. The burning on the components is most likely cosmetic. If the screws turn or the spring engagements work without the plastic breaking, I'd leave them alone.

I'm glad you checked that and found this out - I would have assumed it would charge the next increment at 4:01.

    HP Soap not drawing

Isn't the hose 1/4" ID push-lock from the tank to solenoid to pump? The flare fittings they use will crack and allow the pump to draw air instead of soap. Throttling the water supply just makes it draw more air and run rougher.

Wires burning inside Fragramatics SAV-F unit

It's a bimetal varistor, it's there to help with the arcing across the contacts when the motor starts. Did you have a lightning storm recently?

    Convert self serve to automatic

When you buy, install and operate, then try to sell used an IBA unit, you'll lose 75-90% of the value of the machine. You can always go with used, but if you don't plan to do as much work on it as you can, you'll be working for whoever repairs it for you. IMO you'd be better off either turning...

Yikes! Lady carjacked at metro Denver IBA!

I could never get the video to play.

Yikes! Lady carjacked at metro Denver IBA!

Most vehicles that auto-lock the doors will auto-unlock them too at some point. I'd never thought about that being a problem until now.

    Car Wash Scents

I'm not sure how you can say that when he skirts the truth the way he does. Either all his products are unscented or they aren't. He's made this informed decision, yet still adds fragrance to products that will end up in the faces of car wash customers. If he's so sure they're that bad, let...

Which would you do, if anything ? Need some recommendations

You might consider a friction auto like the Belanger Cube. Not only will that set you apart, it will clean better and significantly lower your operating costs.

    Free vacuum tokens

It does. Most people use a multi-coin acceptor, but I have seen car washes with two separate acceptors to keep coins and tokens separated. It would require custom fabrication. That's why I started the thread (six years ago), to try to compete with a nearby tunnel with free vacs.

Yes, anything that can be done in settings can be done with the remote.

    Rewiring RO Machine

Yes, the one on the unit I ordered it for didn't have the feature, which I'm sure is why it went out. It would still kick off once and back on again each time it started, but it was better than the 5 or 6 times before.

    Earning a profit

You agreed to them when you signed up, whether you read them or not: https://www.carwashforum.com/help/terms/ Your best bet IMO, other than selling out, would be to find someone with lots of knowledge to help you, either a former owner as a consultant or a former manager who really knows what...

    Boiler sizing

Thanks, that's not bad on price at all, but I want to stay below the 200k BTU threshold.
  19. MEP001

    Boiler sizing

Partly yes since there's heat loss from storage you don't have from the on-demand, but remember boilers are 80% efficient at best while most tankless heaters are 98%. Also most of us won't have to worry about the intrusion of boiler inspectors if we stay below 200k BTU.

You should see some improvement, it just might take a while. Are your customers adjusting to and understanding the change?
