    Foam brush help

That's usually caused by a restriction of the fluid supply to the pump. There may be a check valve between the pump and the tank - if there is, remove it as it serves no purpose. The other issue is most likely the pump's shuttle valve sticking.

    crypto pay or dan???

If I were to put Cryptopay on individual electronic vendors, I wouldn't buy the vendor units without the button. You can use the standard ones and they cost the same, then you don't have units you can't swap into a bay if you have a bad one. D.A.N. would be far too expensive to put on vending IMO.

    Flojet stall

Do you have the 24VDC completely isolated to only go through the relay of the MX-8 or did you combine its neutral with the bays' common? Do the lights on the MX-8 come on and go off with the input from the bays or does anything stay on once it's powered up?

    Chemical line and competitors

I would agree, unless you're marketing your wash with some national brand of chemicals. Even then I don't know if customers notice or even care. I'm sure if you and your competitor are both using something like AP Formulators and neither one of you display that name for them anywhere...

    crypto pay or dan???

I don't know if they've changed things, but for us it used to be something like 36¢ per transaction, most of which went to e-Xact, and for count-up each single swipe counted as two transactions.

Dumpster gone, results after 1 month

I had a guy tell me he spent $1000 a month washing his fleet vehicles and would never be back. I said "Really? Because I'm sure if you spent two hours a day here washing cars I would have seen you here before." Backed up to the dumpster: "But I'm going to wash it!" Me: "No, you're not."...

Late Night Idea - CC Discount

IIRC you couldn't charge more for paying by CC than with cash, but that was lifted more than ten years ago.

    Cyber Monday camera systems

Looks like I'll need dome cameras since the scumbags bring a pole to try and knock the ones I have out of position before they try and break into stuff. Funny thing is one guy aimed it down on accident to get a better look at his face for the cops.

Late Night Idea - CC Discount

I don't know why you'd want to do that, aside for trying to attract business, and that seems like a strange way to do it. It's more like you're punishing cash customers. Maybe advertise and run a month-long discount for CC instead?

    Removing vacuum decals

The only vacuums I would polish would be the mirror-finish ones IVS sells. For those I'd use Blue Magic metal polish. When any other vacuum gets dirty from bay overspray I use Klean Wall.

Late Night Idea - CC Discount

I used surveillance video, timer counts and CC reports to calculate once. Over a busy weekend, customers spent close to 50% more per car with cards over cash.

Late Night Idea - CC Discount

You could vend tokens via a CC swiper, but historically people don't like to do it that way. You might still be able to make that work since the tokens are already there and it's something the customers are used to. Otherwise, I'd be concerned about combining discounted CC with all the fees...

Dumpster gone, results after 1 month

I really want to do this. Last night I was dumping trash, came back by one vac island and a guy had already filled a can I had just emptied. I picked it up to empty it again, and he dropped two more bags of trash in it right in front of me. One was full of shoes - why would anyone have a...

In search of used Ring-o-Matic 1000T

He ended up rebuilding the tank of his old one out of 1/4" plate steel. He took 52 loads of mud to the dump in 12 days.

Three if you count the wires. Cobalt bits make really quick work of the holes. No center punch or you'll tool harden the spot where you want to drill.

    Dixmor Timer

You can replace the segments yourself. They just pop out and plug in. You can get the Kingbright panels from mouser.com and they should last at least ten years. I have to replace the panels in the fragrance machines every ten years, costs about $30 for a set.

    crypto pay or dan???

I just found one called Payline that's 0.15% + $.07 per transaction, but it says restaurants only. Payment Depot advertises $.15 per transaction and 0% processing. Hamilton doesn't get a cut of the processing fee, just a transaction fee. It comes out pretty close to Cryptopay, but Hamilton's...

    Dixmor Timer

I have six of the big DX-2000 timers, and the LEDs are failing to the point that one is almost unreadable. I've replaced that one with an LED-7 timer in the meter door and will eventually replace them all. Dixmor won't repair the DX-2000 timer displays because there are almost 600 LEDs that...

    T Handle Lock repair

Try a new pin, maybe it's worn down to where it can't catch in the T-handle part anymore. If the T-handle is what's worn where it can't hold the pin, replacement is your only option. They aren't crazy expensive and they're still being made.

    crypto pay or dan???

I would recommend the same. Dialup processing may be on old technology, but it only takes about 10 seconds longer for dialup to process a card. Once you plug the processing into a D.A.N. you get stuck with e-Xact and higher merchant fees plus much higher transaction fees.
