Update: changed one of the fitting which is brining soap to the after check calve under hot water tank, and also changed the pressure regulator. Problem not solved. Next going to change the head.

Hi there and merry Christmas everyone. I have this cp 2120 pump vibrates and pressure is about 100psi less than usual. It has new seal and valve, and as far as I see there is no washout in the head. Can a bad pressure regulator paraplate br5-2 create vibration?

it seems like your problem is fixed now, but I had a similar issue 2 month ago which was due to having the wrong nipple going too much into the check calve under tge hotwater tank, which prevented the calve from opening 100% therefore making the pump to starve on hot function such as wax and soap.

Bought the valve today and now I know what you mean. This valve has pin/stem in it vs a plate, so it won’t get stuck on things like nipple when its opening. Pls see the pic.

problem solved, exactly how you said. The nipple was too much inside the check valve preventing the poppet open 100%. You just saved me $1000 and lots of headache of changing a head. I wish I could send you a gift somehow. After 7 years still seeing new things. You are the best.

Is it possible that air gets to the pump from soap/wax line? Im gonna remove from here in the pic, put a plug and see if fixes the issue.

Hi guys, where do you purchase your door operators from? We have used manaras before and they say 8 weeks wait time for carwash specific ones.

Maybe adjusting it helped the little something to go through… and pass. Perhaps while changing high pressure seals some of pieces of them got to the head. I have to crash these seals to be able to remove them even with reverse plyer.

UPDATE: I was just watching that pump and it had too much pressure around 1300psi because I adjusted the unloader in the morning. Now adjusted the loader back down lol. And dont see a big difference between squeezed and not squeezed trigger, which is perfect. I guess sometimes you just have to...

Thanks, its cat 2120 pump. Yes I changed all seal. My experience with unloader is they go bad when they start leaking. Didnt check the valves since no vibrations. Also didnt see cracks on the plungers.

I have the same system. Are you sure no air is coming out? Maybe just the product solenoid is brunt which is an easy change.

Im hoping city water? As long as its not part of the ceramic cylinder. These are low pressure valves on the intake, so unlikely being part of the cylinders.

Found the culprit lol… you see a small trash in this pic in the valve. Also the valve right beside this valve was completely open so I changed it.
