Need program written for Programmable Logic Relay

So...no big expense if you use an Allen Bradley or Siemens/Idec PLR instead? And, with no "learning curve" for the logic writer, you'd have your project done in no time.

How to Time in bay functions and Money

It can be done with a 24volt AC programmable logic relay (PLR) from Siemens or Idec. But it won’t be inexpensive. Each PLR with display costs about $180. You’ll need one PLR for each bay. And, if there are more than 7 functions per bay, 4 point expansion modules are another $80 or so. The...

    In-Bay and Vac Station Lights

That's what I did. Got them at HD for $2something each. Leviton brand...screw onto lamp, screw lamp into mogul base...No clearance issues.

Sweet! Can you suggest a Siemens reseller? I'm dying to play with one of those 0BA7 Logos...(I guess they're never gonna give Idec the rights.) I look forward to viewing that video. I'll bet it 'eye-popping"!

    My Rant

No...it's the social networking. Someone twits about doing sometime stupid at the car wash and then someone else posts about it on pastebook and everybody runs out and tries to peg the stupid meter. Their buddy videos it and posts it on y'alltube and before long...it's the new normal!!! I...

Ain't happening...until my lighting project pays off. Anyway, after I wrote that I went and laid down to let the idea fade away. ;) So, the tri-foam replaced your hp wax selection? Or, did you convert to 10 position switches? (assuming original MVII meters) Hmmm...Foaming Pre-soak and...

I think I misunderstood...I thought you meant it wasn't being used enough to jusify the equipment and chemical costs. A few years back, I got all excited by the tri-foam brush systems. It turned out to be a real flop. 3 jugs of pricey concentrate...vibrant colors, but only at low dilution...

So, what is the tri-foam chemistry? Soap? Polish? Wax? Foam trap? Seems to me if customers find it initially “fascinating” but time-consuming, they quickly learn to avoid its application…especially if there is no appreciable improvement in the wash quality. With lackluster usage, as might...

IMHO...the manufacturer's suggested ratio is just that, a suggestion. Since foam brush concentrate is typically neutral, there are no cleaning agents. The foam is for brush lubricity. The cleaning is provided by the friction produced by the customer's muscle power. If thick-rich foam can be...

Twodose: I recalled incorrectly...The Hydrominder is 75:1 But, more importantly, the volume delivered to each bay is 2 oz/min. The math tells me my cost per minute is .2 cents. (That's 2/10 of a cent...not 2 cents!)

It's been years since I set the system up...but I seem to recall it's 90:1...using Diamond Shine Foam-it.

    Stage 2 drought declared.

Oh brother…here we go again! Residential customers will be limited to 2 days a week lawn watering. Car washing in the driveway will be prohibited. Yea!!! You’d think…Well,… Last drought declaration was Stage 1. Citizens and businesses followed the rules under threat of fines…And, saved so...

Omron?...Grainer is only 3 miles away. Plus, I have spares 'cause you never know. (The benefits of big cities...3 Grainger branches, 12 Home Depots, 9 Lowes, etc.) The Omron keeps the Idec Qs from firing IF timer2 is on. When T2 is off and T1 is ON, THEN Idec Qs are allowed to trigger. But...

By that time the Idecs will be old school and everything will be controlled from "The Cloud"!?? Never say never...I just went live with my "over-the-top" lighting control. It didn't work. Turned out, a brand new Omron DPDT relay had an issue...bad N/O contact. Ever see what happens to an...

Sorry 'bout that. I was referring to "bay supply" tubing. Your 1/4mpt x 3/8poly fittings will work just fine for the manifold "supply"...no wrench issues there! (unless you're using a worn-out "speed wrench");) As Earl pointed out...bigger supply lines = less restriction. On mine, it's 1/4"...

I guess I should add... In the unlikely event you have to replace a 1/4x3/8poly fitting on an assembled Kip manifold, you'll likely have to remove several fittings to gain wrench access to the "naughty one". 1/4x1/4poly fittings eliminates the need to disassemble the assembly to make one...

I believe you will find the 1/4mpt x 3/8poly fittings too close together to swing your wrench when installing them...maybe(?) An alternative, if you must use 3/8" poly tube to the bays...1/4poly x 3/8poly straight connectors. 1/4 fittings on the manifold followed by the "reducing connectors"...
