    ACW 4 Token Input Stuck

My ACW 4 went out of service with a "Token Input Stuck" error. I reset the the controller, and it went back into service. My first guess....would be to suspect the Slugbuster....yes? BTW....we DO use the Token input to accept brass tokens....and we also use the WashGear Credit card system...

    Is this Kleen Rite Equipment???

You're missing the point. A pump stand (as you pictured) cannot be set up to be "a motor-pump set up to be 180 out". There's NO such thing, in a 3 phase system. If you wire the pump stand....to your breaker box....and the cat pump is turning opposite to the arrow on the side of the...

    Is this Kleen Rite Equipment???

I know NOTHING about Kleen Rite branded equipment. I can see (in the pictures) Cat Pumps, and what looks like Baldor 3 phase motors and Allen Bradley contactors. Those are quality brands. I DO see the manifold block suspended by (what appears to be...) a 1/2 brass hex nipple. Yea, that...

    Is this Kleen Rite Equipment???

Sounds like the motor turning backwards. Gee, in a three phase system, just reverse any two wires.....yes? Installer error.

    Hamilton DRS Hopper Motor Swap

Your coin switch is out of adjustment. There are two styles...new and old. The old ones work better. If you are using quarters, there needs to be 1/8" gap set. Hamilton has instructions on how to do it (old style). Supposedly, the new style doesn't need to be adjusted. I NEVER had one work...

    Alternative to IDX MX8

You could use a Programmable Logic Relay....and program it to do what you need. I used a Moeller Easy Relay. I have 3 self service bays. When any of the bays selects Foam Brush, an air solenoid opens on my foam brush pump. Likewise for Tire Cleaner, and PreSoak soap. I used 9 inputs to...

Coin Changer replacement for MEI CF-7512...MDB?

My vending machine needs a replacement for an older Mars (MEI) CF-7512. It's been overhauled, but is finally wearing out. Does anyone have any experience with the CPI Gryphon? I need to find a reliable MDB coin changer....so recommendations are welcome.

    Cat 623....fix or pitch?

I have a 28 year old Cat 623 that has been a workhorse. The crankshaft bearing failed (on the flywheel side) and completely disintegrated. The oil in the crankcase has a grey sludge as a result. I replaced the pump with an Arimitsu 511. It's smaller, and very quiet. (Less than $800) I just...

    Remote access door opener

I use the (4) relay board to remotely reset and remotely activate my 2 automatic bays. When someone has an issue with an auto-bay, I can reset that bay, and then activate my highest wash. This has saved me driving in many times. Well worth the $35.

    Changing Vacuum bags

Wash once a month???? You must have a LOT of free time. We wash ours annually. In between....besides shaking every other day....we take a toilet cleaning brush and run it up and down inside the bags monthly.

    Remote access door opener

I bought a 4 relay USB relay board by Denkovi for about $35 (check eBay). It allows me to close 4 different relays via the internet. You could use this device to open/close your doors if you have door operators. The Denkovi device connects to the PC at my car wash, via USB. I access the car...

    Homemade/DIY IDX MX-8?

I use these all over my car wash. They are a "delay on make" adjustable timer. They work forever and rarely fail. Artisan 438USA http://www.artisancontrols.com/Product_Details.aspx?PID=20&Type=Timer

    Air compressor

EMax appears to be the old (or somehow related) Eaton Air Compresors. I bought an Eaton years ago...and was VERY satisfied. When the heavily used pump finally needed to be rebuilt....I replaced the pump with a used Champion unit. The Champion (R15) is a beast. I'll be dead before this setup...

    Older WeepMizer acting up

My weepmizer had a wacky reading recently. I replaced the sensor with a new spare. The issue remained. I opened the unit up....and found two rotten traces in the PC board near the bottom. I repaired the traces by soldering a wire between the two points that the traces were connecting. Issue...

    Paraplate Regulator

FWIW.....spraying the conical washers with Corrosion X (expensive, but worth every penny)....has stopped the rusting. Much, much longer life if the washers don't rust. My BR-5's still take a kit just fine.

What temperature is your hot water to the bays in self-serve.

FWIW....the storage tanks last a LOT longer if you change the anodes every two years or so. Spend the extra bucks and use Magnesium instead of aluminum.

Ice building up on bay walls

I am able to run hot water to my high pressure selection via a ball valve. When the ice starts building....I turn on the hot water, and "cut" grooves into the ice in 2 foot by 2 foot squares. When the ice finally starts to melt (and loosen), it comes off in 2 foot squares. This way, it...

    Tire cleaner working by itself

If you rely upon a single solenoid on the output of a pump for "shutting it off"....you'll eventually be sorry. My original wash had that setup. I arrived one morning to find that a solenoid had failed to close. Without a deadhead on the output....the pump ran wide open. A full barrel of...

    Dema 458 solenoid issue/question....

My Cat 3535 feeds two Dema 458 solenoids. One solenoid opens to provide flow to the undercarriage flush....and the other one feeds high pressure to my spray arch for washing. They are NEVER programed to be open at the same time. Here's my issue.....the undercarriage solenoid isn't completely...

    Motor Starter Contacts....better check!

I bought a FlirOne Pro for my Android phone. It's a thermal camera attachment. It's allowed me to locate the heat loops in my floor heat. Like everything else....it's sitting on my shelf...unused. Should of, would of could of......
