    Blue Minivan Stringer

Not sure what happened, if anything. I never heard anymore from the original poster. I would be willing to bet that nothing happened and he is still doing it.

    Backflow preventer

You could do that if it's leaking water and you catch it before it is inspected. However, if it's not leaking and everything seems normal and they come for the yearly inspection and it fails, you have to have someone who is certified with the proper paper work, so you can give it to the...

You guys that have repaired your own, be glad that you don't live in Tennessee. Here, you have to have someone that is certified to rebuild them.

    One price Inbay Automatic

Earl, I agree with what you are saying, I guess I missed Robert's point. There is no comparison between IBA and Tunnel, because the volume of cars that can be washed is so much greater in a Tunnel. I would just think if you are averaging $10.00 with 4 tier wash in an IBA and you wanted to go...

Chaz, can you get a dirty car clean with this wash?

    One price Inbay Automatic

Robert, if you have an average sales of $10 with a 4 tier pricing scheme and you decided to go to a one price wash, why would you only charge $7.00?

Automatic PreSoaks what works best??? Revisit

I would agree with that in a self-service car wash. However, in automatic washes, what makes them return is getting their car clean.

Friction or Touchless? What do customers want?

Amen! Majority of the customers don't care how you do it (Touch free or Friction), just get it cleaned.

What is everyones preferred weep solenoid valve?

I would definitely go back with the same valve you are using now, if it lasted that long. I've always used the Asco brand weep valves with good success. Dema's may be just as good or better, never had a need to try one.

    Baldor Motor Problems

2Biz, that's a possibility, however Magic Wand plumbed the water weep into the intake side of the pump, which would still require the CV/footvalve. Granted you wouldn't have to deal with them till cold weather, but you would still have to deal with them.

    Baldor Motor Problems

I can assure you that your pump stands didn't come wired like that from Magic Wand. Originally they were set up for cold water rinse (city water pressure going through the 1/2" Asco solenoid) and hot water (gravity fed from the holding tank) for soap and wax. My guess would be the previous...

    Rowe BC-200 coin jumping out

I've had several Rowe BC-200 changers and never ran into anything like that. The BC-200 has escrow buckets in the coin dispenser assembly for a 1 or 5 dollar payout. Once a bill is accepted, it opens an escrow bucket and dumps either 4 quarters for a $1 payout or 20 quarters for a $5 payout...

100% sure. I was working at Magic Wand when this was built. Shortly before they went bankrupt.

    Please help identify thisfriction rollover

Mac is correct, it was a one hit wonder that Magic Wand built and installed in an old Autec building in Weber City, VA. Mac, this was a Bill Rambo special!

    Istobal M'nex 22 - Dryer Problem

Good point Mac. Also, if he is not getting an input to DI2 the dryer will not come down, because the machine thinks something is blocking the lifting eyes.
