What are the merits of gravity feed hot water?

It is non-condensing. Remember, the unit is not heating at all when no bays are used. Therefore it only heats when a bays are timed up. The heater runs plenty of time to dissipate any condensation. The first two cycles folks normally use are pre-soak and hp soap, both of which use the hot...

What are the merits of gravity feed hot water?

I have the same system made in 2004 at a location I bought. It is way over engineered. I guess Coleman liked selling all that equipment. You would never use all that hot water. I eliminated the 80 gallon storage, and re-plumbed the circulator to go back directly to the open tank. I then...

spot free pvc end caps cracking

In my experience, when anything plastic cracks with a female threaded receptacle, the male fitting has been screwed in too far. When I have to thread into a membrane cap, I use lots of Teflon paste, and only tighten about 1/2-3/4 turn past finger tight. If it leaks, I turn gently until it stops.

    ICA water study

I can give real world figures, as I have a sewer meter installed. I have a 4/2. Autos are Nu*Star friction machines with hp pumps. I do have reclaim for the autos only; probably for about 40% of the wash cycle. The most my sewer has ever been reduced by is 17%. The least is 8%. The average is...

    GinSan low-pressure solenoid kit?

I wouldn't waste my time with those, if I were you. The threads on that brand are so thin, you can almost see through them. If you are using pre-soaks, tire cleaners, and hp soap that is any good it will eat right through them in short order. I replaced all those units with stainless steel...

tire and engine cleaner leaking out the gun in my SS bays

Bet your manifold is eaten out on the inside. Just replace the whole 3-bank manifold, and save yourself a lot of headache. Dump the GC valve and get a different brand in stainless. The GC units are nothing but problems.

Only Slugbuster II units since I been in the biz (1994) . They are priced reasonable new, and repairs/service from Parker Eng. is very reasonable and their customer service great. I accept quarters and my high security $1 tokens. These units have been extremely reliable over the years.

    If I had a nickel...

Double loops- one in center, one at entrance. Center cancels time when vehicle exits, entrance cancels time if another car pulls in the bay while timed up.

Correct- $6 for 30 minutes. price is per vehicle; double loops installed in bays to prevent 2 cars from washing.
