    Hard plumbing Air Shammee II

Up here for all my bays the drainage pipe for the self serve wands is a 4" coupling cemented flush with the ground going to the pit then they glue a 4" two foot pvc section in above ground to hold the wands. They should never glue those sticks cause when a mirror catches the hose the car will...

    Hard plumbing Air Shammee II

PVC will be fine. There’s absolutely no problem with it coming apart but I would not use hard pipe for two reasons. 1. Hard pipe to that vacuum swivel will most likely cause your pipe to crack if the boom swivel does not operate perfectly ever time which it wont. The swivel will bind up and the...

    Fonic Wash Power Concentrate

Gotcha. Not sure about JBS as I never used them but I certainly would not take chemical advice from kleen rite. There website claims there HPD ultra concentrate should be a 2000:1 ratio for SS and IBA. What a joke. There isn’t even a hydrominder tip that small. They fall under the category of...

    intermittent wash stopping

If you can't be there and watch it then put a camera in the bay and a camera on the PLC. Once again you dont need to get a fault to fix this. WATCH THE INPUT AND OUTPUT LIGHTS. That will tell you what it is doing. When you have a fault/malfunction look at the time it happened in the bay then...

    Fonic Wash Power Concentrate

I don't use fonic wash but with soft water I'm on a yellow tip at some locations and up to green at others for high pressure soap. Even though there all the same pump stands and same chemical each one pulls different. There is to many variables. Id start with yellow or even purple to see how it...

    Fonic Wash Power Concentrate

What chemical company? Ive never heard of a tip getting clogged from the chemical itself. Unless it's either garbage, old chemical, or a tip thats 10 years old. Ive never pre mixed and you shouldn't have to either. Complete waste of time and space.

    intermittent wash stopping

Like I said watch the inputs and outputs. That’s what tells you what the machine is doing. You don’t need to get a fault to figure it out. I was just saying when it does fault/stop working look at your plc to see what it’s doing.

    intermittent wash stopping

You need to be there and watch the PLC when it faults. The machine only does what the PLC tells it to. Watch the inputs and outputs. It should not be too hard to figure out considering how often it’s happening.

    Securing Pit Grates

Heated floor lines are not at the top of concrete. You can drill two inches into concrete and not hit anything. This case only requires 1 1/4 stainless steel tap cons. Up here in Michigan all our floors are heated. Anything we want to mount to the ground including rollover tracks, signs...

    Securing Pit Grates

You can just weld or bolt two small tabs at each end then secure to the ground with tapcons/anchor. Next time you go to clean the pits or have it pumped all you have to do is undo two screws and your not dealing with a cement block and chain stuck to the bottom. I like that idea if your trying...

    New touchless automatic Chinese wash

So instead your going to buy a wash from China replace everything on it, re-write the programming, and pray that the structure/plumbing is well built? Why not just buy a used machine if you cannot afford new. There plenty of good used American made machines out there. Not to mention parts and...

    Maintenance for Jim Coleman System

You do not grease the booms there are no bearings. There is nothing to grease on Coleman self serve systems. The motors don't need greasing either. If you want to do maintenance you can change oil on the cat pumps.

Long time lurker got my first SS wash

My first wash I purchased was just like that. A foreclosure from a bank that was not winterized. Your going to replace everything that you can visible see is broken/cracked. Then turn all the ball valves off. Turn the water on and go ball valve by ball valve. Mine I had the replace the meter...
