Should I lease a new IBA system?

Single bay Auto sites are very, very seldom successful. I would bet that if you could find the previous owners business records you'd see real quick why it's vacant.

This is a new one for me!

I've seen them do that when a customer had a failed pressure regulator on the water supply to the building.

Try swapping the doors from one bay to the other. That will tell you if it's on the door or elsewhere.

What is the "timer" that is counting up in the equipment room? Push button or rotary on the door? What is the display in the bay? How old is the equipment?

This company stands by their logo, literally.

Contact Sherwin Williams with the picture. They'll make it right. It's the only paint store I will ever go to. A long time ago my wife went to a certain big box store's paint department and asked for some help picking out some red paint and proper primer. She bought what they recommended and it...

    Mother nature doesn't play.

I've been following the weather this evening and a storm chaser posted this photo among several others from Little Rock. Holy Crap.

    Timer question

The GS404 works like the LED6s but without a display. You would still need switches.

If you or someone you absolutely trust is not inspecting and testing everything daily you're seriously handicapping your chances of success.

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

The issue here is that you bought parts that did not fit to your liking. Instead of just returning them and getting your money back you post a thread that essential questioned the integrity of the industry. If the proper domes do not exist, you have two choices: Use a poorly fit dome or replace...

    Cryptopay Count Up problem

You can wire them the same. It's in the setup of Cryptopay where the change is made. We do a ton of doors with Cryptopay and they are all wired into the white/black wire.

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

It's an old vac. The original parts are no longer manufactured. It should be replaced. No manufacturer in any other industry is expected to keep making parts, or adaptable parts, in perpetuity. My refrigerator cost me around what a well equipped carwash vacuum would. I hope it lasts ten or 15 or...

What’s THE most overcomplicated equipment you’ve worked on?

Most overcomplicated: My wife. It's not even close and I spend all day helping car wash owners get their stuff running. Easiest: My dog.

    Auto Fragrance - Missing Equipment

Fragramatics was the manufacturer of those units. The hose and gun assembly is around $160 to $170. There are pumps, timers, coin acceptors, etc inside. Probably more that "a few hundred" to get up and running.
  19. D

How do you organize your hoses?

I've been in enough equipment rooms, froze my ass off in enough bays, and busted enough knuckles to know two things : The majority of installers do not do a neat enough install and that my knees much prefer the office.

    Tap readers

We are minuscule. Near our office is a retail corridor. In a row are: Sams Club, Walmart, and Menards with several smaller places on their out lots. You are probably looking at, at least, 200 credit card points of sale in about a 2 block stretch. I would bet that the average Walmart does more...
