Wiring Help on Triple Foam Unit

Use the system transformer. That's what it's for. If you use one of the bay transformers, you won't be able to shut that bay's control voltage off without also turning off the trifoam.

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

Because people at Kleen-Rite mostly have zero clue about car washes or safety, and most of the ones that do don't care. If you call JE Adams direct, they probably would have given you part numbers to order that would fit properly, or told you they can't get you the right part.

What’s THE most overcomplicated equipment you’ve worked on?

It's usually a failed relay or transformer, but the way things are wired it's difficult to diagnose, and since you have to unplug and remove the whole thing you can't bench test it easily. Fragramatics will repair them or ship you a repaired unit with a core charge.

What’s THE most overcomplicated equipment you’ve worked on?

You should see the D&S/Hydrospray pump system. Everything but the foam brush goes through the pump with solenoids and injectors, even the spot free. It's a crazy, expensive, overcomplicated mess with no shutoffs so when you have to change one of the supply valves (which is often) you have to...

    Chargebacks again

I used a programmable ladder relay, connected all the second layer outputs to inputs on the relay, then programmed the relay to send a brief close circuit for the button. I did one wash with a Hamilton D.A.N. system and eliminated the button, and I modified Cryptopay swipers for another by...

    Hypro 2414

Someone on here mentioned they've stopped making them. All my Google searches show the same thing. Hopefully someone here has some old ones to sell. I don't think there are any special-made parts, you can probably find all the seals and o-rings for repairs. FWIW I won't even try to repair...

What’s THE most overcomplicated equipment you’ve worked on?

The hardest thing I've done was replacing the Mitsubishi controller on a brand-new D&S 5000, twice because the one it came with was defective and the first replacement was never programmed. The easiest was replacing that controller the third time because someone finally told me "You know you...
