    Cat 310 pulsating problem

One time warranty is on the 5cp2120w; not the 310. Send it to KR and have all 9 sleeves redone for $195. It will last pretty much forever then.

    Chrysler 300

Thanks Whale. I never even thought to do a Google search...da. I Google everything else. That was some very good info regarding this issue.

    Chrysler 300

Yes, I can see it clearly on the video. I have cam right over auto-cashier prior to entry--there was no damage before. It clearly buckles way inward, then pops out, then does the same on the 2nd pass. It went quite a few inches downward, so I can see why it made dents. It seems to me there...

    Chrysler 300

Had an '05 Crysler 300 go through my cloth auto with on-board dryers. These dryers are the weakest of any of my locations due to power constraints. They are four 7.5 hp. (two in center, one each side) When moving over the roof, it pushed the roof of the vehicle downward; leaving permenant...

    Money Maker !!!!

If it is such a great deal, you should have told her to buy it. Ofcourse, she probably is not qualified to run a fruit stand, let alone some real business. I wish I had a nickel for every realtor that has told me I need to open a wash here or there. Then I would be rich......well not rich...

Is the In Bay Auto dying out?

It does not matter what you have, if folks do not have the spare funds. Car washing falls low on most peoples budgets at this time. When $100 does not fill up the suv, it drains the discretinary income which we depend on. You can charge $7, $5, or even $3, but if our potential customer does...

    pure gas vs. ethenol

Yes, it is our government saving us from ourselves again. Yea, lets use corn in the fuel. Helps the farmers and the environment, they say. So now food prices are up. The ethanol gas makes the vehicles run like crap, and we get 10-20% less mileage. So we use more fuel. Any small motor...

    strange bay problem

On the top of the contactor is coil voltage that pulls it in. Pushing it in means nothing in terms of the contactor pulling in automatically. With bay in hp mode, put your meter leads on the two leads in the top of contactor. Should be 24 vac there. If nothing, then it is elswhere. If 24...

    strange bay problem

Bad contactor? Did you check for voltage at the contactor leads? If no voltage, then it is probably the rotary switch, or push button module; whichever you have. If you have voltage on the contactor coil, then that is the problem.

    Pur Water Reclaim Down

Pressure switch could be bad. I just replaced one on a Con-Serv unit. I jumped it out to make this determination.

    In-Bay and Vac Station Lights

The package also says "not for commercial use". I have not worried about the venting. So far, it seems that is not an issue. I have had the longest ones in for 6 months. A few failed right off the bat, but I do not think it was a heat issue. I got warranty credit. I think all that...

    Monthly Electric bill

Forgot to mention, my per kW cost is 12.8 cents at my cheapest. And 14.5 at the highest (and ofcourse busiest wash).

    Neoglide leaving fine scratches

Mac: I am a s/s with ibas. I have a unit with Lammscloth. Those side brushes only rotate at 40 rpm. My units with neoglide turn much faster; at 100-120 rpm. You need the faster rpm with foam to clean; due to the lightnest of the material. And you are correct, new Lammscloth leaves a lot...

    Monthly Electric bill

OK, you guys with those cheap electric bills---what is you actual per kW cost? I have a 4/2 that runs $2k+ per month (very busy wash), and a 5/1 that runs $800-$1k per month.

    4 bay question (2/2)

It is not an exact formula. At my busiest 4/2, the 2 ibas do 70% of the entire gross. Credit card sales are 56% of the iba gross.

    4 bay question (2/2)

Many reasons. Owner was sucking equity out of all locations to do other locations. When times were good, appraisals were high, everything kept rolling along. Now that times are not so good, they have been falling down--one after the other. The debt loads are/were simply too high. No funds...

    4 bay question (2/2)

Anyone have a 4 bay wash with 2 ibas and 2 s/s? If so, could you tell me total iba sales as a percentage of gross? Then also, total credit card sales as a percentage of gross iba sales. Looking at a wash in bankruptcy, and all we have is the credit card sales from the ibas. I am trying to...
