    In-Bay and Vac Station Lights

I bought 24 of the 105 watt mogul base from 1000bulbs.com. This was to replace 175 watt MH in the bays (4 per bay). The light output is equal to, or better than the 175 watt MH. Only issue is I have had 6 fail withing 2-4 months. They were warranted, but I am a bit concerned with that...

Water Reclaim - What is the best system?

I prefer baffles. Just like a septic tank on a residential property; it helps in getting the solids separated out. No real additonal expense. The last ones I installed in 2005, cost $150 more additional. I like 1500 , 1000, 1000 set up, all with single baffles.

    What's your monthly water usage/bill?

Ric--that is only $6.33 per 1000 gallons used. That is not too bad. I have a location @ $10.50/1000, one @ $10/1000, and one @$9.85/1000. Look for water and sewer rates to continue upward, as municipalities are squeezed for funds.

Why is Kleen-Rite so slow lately?

Over 17 years, all in all Kleen-Rite does a FANTASTIC job. Yes, there has been a hick-up here and there; but it is always corrected with no problem. My latest "free ship" order did take 1 week to fill--but so what? It was a $2000 order with 102 different items on it. I did notice now they are...

    D/H Vendmaster

When mine did that it was something on the control board. I sent it to S. Thomas & Associates for repair. I think it was about $100 to fix. It has been fine since.

    wild guess acceptable

I think you have to do one wet wash for thoses idiots in pick ups that do not want to remove the contents---Big, big problem in my area. I do what Wax does, it is the lowest wash with no blow dry. It is called a basic wash for a reason.

How to Lessen WW "Rail Jumpers"?

I put (3) 42 inch bright orange plastic bollards in front of the left rail at an angle (to guide in). And we put one in front of the right rail. It has helped, but people have still run over them. I plan to remove the treadle photo eyes this Spring, and replace with a treadle floor switch...

    Little Trees

Black Ice out sells everyting for me--at 4 locations. Everytime I order from KR, I order 6 or 8 BI and 1 each of other flavors. It is pretty unbelievable how well it sells. I have folks buying 3 and 4 at a time. I went in AutoZone the other day, and they sell all their trees for $3.99...

Are bright bay lights for business, or for security?

I agree with Sponge Bob. I have been converting 175 watt and 250 watt metal halides to 105 watt cfls with a mogul base. So far I have change 14 fixtures. I have had 3 bulbs fail, but warranty covered them (warranty is 15 months). The incandescent equiv. is 420watts. The light is good, and...

    CAT 5CP2120 head

No, Kleen-Rite does not send them there. The Vilco repair is totally different than KR's. Kleen-Rite's repair is better. The ss sleeves are permanent, where as Vilco inserts thin removable ss sleeves with o-rings. I had Vilco do one. It did not hold up.

    Security Camera's

I use the big 14 inch camera housings for the exterior of all my washes. I want people to see them, and in a big way. I prefer them as a deterent, not concealed so I may have to review hours of video. For the self-serve bays, I use the little bullets up in the corner. I put rain-x on the...

    Security Camera's

Agreeing with diy, the best way to keep from being strung is to use high security tokens. I have used tokens since day one (18 years ago). At first it was a combination of quarter/tokens, now I use $1 high seciruty tokens. This will be way cheaper than changing all your validators, and they...
