Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

It does at mine because the Americans with Disabilities Act requires that the coin acceptor not be more than 48" from the ground, so instead of having one handicapped island it was decided that they all be about 2' tall.

    Automatic price increase

You know you can't because your market won't support it.

Air Compressor - Breaker Tripping off

If that was the case, it would not have worked since 2021. Has this been happening more since it's gotten cold? Do you find it tripped in the morning? If so, try changing the compressor oil with a good synthetic one and see if that helps. Load test the motor to see if it's running above 40A...

    Gin San

There should be a pair of wires that go to the back of the tank and would normally connect to a float switch.

I'm looking for input on this washworld part (or similar from another mfg)

Those tips are 6510, very wide and pretty large. They'd put a lot of water on a car at 200 PSI.

    Jumper the wires together.

    Vending in Bay?

I would recommend vending near the changer. My wash had vendors on every bay pillar when I got it, and I sold almost nothing They were put there because the belief was that customers would buy towels near where they needed them, but the ones furthest from the changer sold way, way fewer than...

    LED 5?

They are of course correct. I looked at this manual and assumed the wiring was for both the 5 and 7, but only the programming instructions are the same. The wiring for the 5 and 6 are the same. https://dixmor.com/TIMER%20PDF/LED7%20V7.33.pdf

    LED 5?

LED5 and LED7 use the same harness. The LED3 is the only one that's really different, and you can still use the same harness, you would probably want to cut the looped wire connecting terminals 8 and 9 (Probably doesn't matter) or connect the wires of terminals 8 and 9 to use the LED7 harness...

    Air solenoids

You could use one air solenoid for each bay for both tire cleaner and presoak, but I would recommend separate solenoids and regulators so you can adjust each system. If you use one solenoid and you have rotary switches in the bays, you can connect a single wire together to the second layer...

Petit 360 worth the extra money????

FWIW I used to service a D&S 5000 which has eight hoses for the upper oscillating tips. The customer complained that he seemed to be changing one of the hoses once a week. So my next visit I changed them all. He was happy for the next two years. The next time one broke I changed them all again.

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

I'm assuming this is a joke, but just to be clear the can was a plastic one that had powdered Gatorade mix in it. The customer's employee saw the can in an open box of powdered tire cleaner and somehow thought it was Gatorade mix. The point of the anecdote was that people can be f***ing stupid...

Air Compressor - Breaker Tripping off

If this is happening more when it's cold, the motor is probably failing. Also listen to it when it shuts off, there should be a blast of air. That's a valve to let the compressor start with no load.

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

That impeller isn't very strong, but it's sharp and spins fast. I kept finding the top doors on my vacs open. They were only held closed by a zip tie. I finally put padlocks on them. A 10 year old could stand on the island and reach fingers into that impeller. I know there's a screen you...

    2.0 Wash Wizzard Tanks

I don't remember, it was something from Home Depot, clear silicone sealant and adhesive, probably 3M, something about three times the cost of the cheapest stuff.

    Security Cameras

Try some Blue Magic metal polish. It's a fine enough abrasive that it'll make plexiglass look new, mild enough that it won't scratch glass. It's in the detailing section at WalMart and most auto parts stores, and some grocery stores have it in the cleaning section next to the Brasso. Before...

Vacuum safety / Is this an industry wide concern?

Same here, the zap doesn't really hurt, it just startles me where I pull back and scrape my hand on something sharp.

    Dixmor Led 6

Start by checking power. You may have pulled a wire loose, or blew a fuse, or fried a transformer. A lot of small ones have an internal fusible link. It's unlikely to be the timer.

    FloJet

I tried a few times to repair them. I've had them leak or spew the pumped liquid out the exhaust or let air out with the pumped liquid or stall or hiss air on one side of the cycle, all these conditions I tried to fix with the various kits. At best I'd have the pump work again for a couple...

CWSS's Elite Club membership goes to $199

I remember when shipping costs weren't much of a concern. When I first started working for a distributor and helped in the warehouse, most of the shipping costs were under $4 for smaller packages up to maybe five pounds. I recently ordered some brass fittings, and one item was backordered...
