    25 hp motor soft start???

A lot of electric utilites are requiring a soft start on 5 hp or more. It is no big deal. Just delete the starters from your equipment package, and get them yourself locally. I just did this on a new auto for my location. I installed 8 soft-starts--6 for the dryers, 1 for the 15 hp pressure...

    Dixmore weepmizer with Methanol changeover

Yes. You have a separate setting for the for the output #2. (check the directions sheet or go to the Dixmor website) You may set it to whatever you want. I set mine at 34 degrees for changeover. There is a 1 degree delay, therefore it will purge at 33. Then it has to go to 35 to change back...

    NRCC eary bird session correction/solar

At an early bird session we were discussing solar panels. I gave a website address for locating incentives for each state. That address was incorrect. The correct address is: www.dsireusa.org This database provides all current grants by state. I should have known better for trying to...

    Mac valve Leaking Air

I had this issue quit often on an iba that has two mounted on the machine. I finally installed a solenoid on the air line that shuts the air off when the wash is not in use. I have not bought a valve since; has saved me a good bit of money.

    Products

You can order from Dultmeier. If you have a few washes you can get a bulk order, and they pay the shipping. When I used to get it from them, you had to order $3500 to get a free ship. It may be a bit more now, but it is worth a phone call if you want to use the product. I did switch to AA...

Do you mean it would go clear with no wax, when on the wax selection? Or did it stop soap and deliver wax?

A contest for the technically enlightened.

OK...when you said changed solenoids I assumed just the repair kit parts like the plunger assembly. But if each valve is independant, and you changed them, then ofcouse it is not that. I will keep thinking......

A contest for the technically enlightened.

My guess would be that it was the manifold block. The small hole where the solenoid plunger seats probably corroded over time. Therefore the plunger was not making a full seal when shut off; thus some soap was getting through when the high pressure was on. This would require replacment of the...

    New Wash

I would be out of business with that kind of tax bill. I am pi$$ed because I have a $20k bill for two washes in one county. It is just too much, for what you get in return. I do not mind paying my share, I just do not want to pay because other a$$es have run their companies in the ground, or...

    Water Well?

I have requested a couple of times to install wells at different locations. I think it is silly for me to use chlorinated and flourodated water to wash cars. And ofcourse, I have to have a carbon filter to remove the chlorine for the reverse osmosis. What a waste! But everytime, the...

    cost of tokens

I use a .90 high security stock token from Van Brook valued at $1. They are about $.19 each. It is just a bit smaller than a quarter. Van Brook gives me a 100 mile protected radius around all of my locations; where they will not sell the same kind of token (metal content). I dispense 100%...

RFID Tags for our Self Service Bays?

Something like a Exxon speedpass would be better. The customer would actually have a card they would wave in front of a reader. That should be much less expensive then RFID. You would have to set it similar to credit cards; with a max charge and/or when stop button is activated the charge...

    Armor All Hairbrained Idea

People are generally stupid. I would not do it. You know car wash customers do not read; therefore it will end up being your fault for their stupidity.
