    New Ryko FoamBrite Replacement option

The brush arms spin faster than the foam brite arms. I don't think there would be any need to replace gear boxes going from foam brite to neoglide.

LSI scottsdale lights, 125C rated wire!!!

In a T5 HO fixture you do nto have to run a 54 watt bulb. You can run a lower watt bulb with the electronic ballast but why would you. I wrote a lighting article a couple of years ago for SSCWN. At that time I was using a combination of T5 HO, some CFL 42 fixtures and some LEDS. So far not 1...

    New Ryko FoamBrite Replacement option

Another option is Neo Glide. I converted a a ryko brush wash machine over to neoglide several years ago with good luck. I think Astromatic sells the neo glide for rykos.

liquid deicer instead of salt hard to wash

I have been doing a little more research on the Mag chloride and found a few things to try. Dwell time and water temperature should be increased with any presoak to help break down the bond on the paint. Beet juice, Molassis and other sticky byproducts are typically added to the de icer to get...

liquid deicer instead of salt hard to wash

Many cities are now using calcium chloride or magnesium chloride in place of brine. Many will prespray it on roads before a storm. Most good soap companies make specific presoaks for this chemical and you might want to switch over to it in the winter. I have used Blue Coral product in the past...

    need weep help

To make a hose bend restrictor on my foamy brush hoses I do the following. I remove the reusable hose fitting on the hose where it attaches to the foamy brush. I then slip about a 12 inch peice of 1/2 clear polybraid hose over the coiled brush hose and then reinstall the hose fitting. Then I...

    outrageous Sewer Costs

One town where I have a car wash has just raised the sewer rate to $749 per month flat rate. They calculate the wash uses the same water as 16 households or around 160,000 gallons per month.

    need more RO

Buzzie8, That is right the float does bob on top of the water until the time the water level gets low enough to trigger the water flow through the hydro. I tried uploading a picture for reference but can't get it to work.

    New blood on the Forum...

One suggestion I have is to make it easier to post pictures on this forum. I have resized several photos in the past and got them below the max size required to post. For some reason on this forum it always fails to upload the picture. I use the same procedure on several other forums and have...

    need more RO

On big demand days it is easy to run out of spot free rinse water if you are not properly sized. In the past when I have had a problem with my spot free rinse maker I added a hydrominder to the top of my storage tank and fed it with soft water so I could keep washing cars. I never had one...

    Getting into the business.

I can't see any way you can build a 3 bay SS with 1 automatic for under $600,000 in todays market. I have built 3 washes myself and the first one I built was a 4 SS bays and one auto bay 20 years ago and it cost over 500,000 and I already owned the land.

Try cleaning the ultrasonic sensors with some acid. I have seen hard water build up on them and cause them to stop working correctly.

    Wash Club

As stated in the first post I am looking for anyone who has actually done this. I am just speculating as others are but I would like actual real world feedback. MOCADDY car wash used a wash card and clearly stated that the bays must be kept clean or the card would be charged. They would call...

    Wash Club

My wash card system is not the credit card accepting version. It is the original version that has its own cards and is self contained. It is a complete stand alone version and with it I pay no fees for any wash card transactions. I issue a card to a user and keep all the records in house on my...

Ideas on moving coleman pumping plant

One of the best ways I have used to move a large pumping plant is to hire a long flat bed tow truck. The kind of tow truck that you load the whole car on. The bed will drop down and tilt so that the plant can be winched up and rolled onto the truck and the rolled off when it is relocated. I have...

With a plasma you can stand on the side of it and still see the picture clearly. Some drawbacks of the plasma is it is heavier and they do generate more heat. Wash Club

I have been kicking around a concept for some of my SS bays at my car washes. The concept is to take 1 or 2 bays and make them a prepaid membership use bay only. MOCADDY car wash in Colorado did this a few years ago with some success. The only way to activate the bay would be if you had a...
