    foam/triple foam gun kit

I use this gun because the metal inside is all stainless. The steel ones usually rust apart after a couple years. I use a 2540 tip with it. https://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/p-5205-ss-rubber-coated-blue-foam-gun.aspx

    Presoak on triple foam gun

You might want to invest in a Dixmor WeepMizer. The idea behind throttling back the weep is that most of the time you don't need that much flow, but if it gets cold enough you do. The WeepMizer increases the "on" time as it gets colder so when it reaches the lowest set temperature the weep...

    Weep water check valve question

I never said it doesn't work, I was commenting on its intended purpose. I plumb my soap and wax solenoids backwards from their intended purpose because it eliminates the need for a check valve.

    Fragramatics FV-3 air compressor question

Try eBay, I find them new occasionally for about half what Fragramatics ask for them, used about 10% of that. The original Thomas compressor they use is really good and worth the money for the reliability.

Need to see a clean box...

The regulator bypass needs to go to the same inlet port as the incoming water. You can't return it to the tank or you'll contaminate it with the soap and wax. The regulator needs to be on the same side as the plumbing out to the bay, otherwise the water in the pump will change direction every...

    Just how stupid is Biden

When e85 first started getting common at gas stations, it was a lot cheaper than regular gas, and even then it just barely balanced out on cost per mile. Right now with gas at around $3.50/gallon in my area, why is e85 $3.40/gallon?

    Weep water check valve question

The check valves are there because they're unloaders. They're meant to be used with full shutoff guns, and when the trigger is released the pressure is trapped in the hose and the regulator "unloads" the pressure from the pump so it runs with no load on the motor. They're mainly meant for use...

I called Texas State Rentals and got a quote for a Ring-O-Matic 500T which was almost $800 cheaper than Kleen-Rite, not a huge savings considering what the thing costs, but it's only 90 minutes from me where Kleen-Rite has to drop-ship it from 1000 miles away, so probably another $2k.

Anyone have the customer apply product before going in to IBA?

I'm probably a year or two older than him. I had a flip phone until June '19.

    Weep water check valve question

Ideally you don't need a check valve to keep the weep water from backing up through the pump. Some of my bays have no check valve on the pump inlet because I've just been removing them as they fail and I removed the rinse solenoids after the freeze last year so there's no need for the check...

    Might be a stupid idea...

I never planned on calling it a "lady bay," it was just a moniker to help with what I'm looking to do. The wash is seven bays and is underperforming, so there's plenty of room to experiment. I wouldn't just lower the pressure, I would put a larger tip as well as make any other improvements to...

    Contemplating going Cashless?

My wash also has no credit acceptance. I'm sure it will get some use, and I plan on adding it to the busiest two bays and vacs, but I expect very low use. My customers mostly don't speak English, I believe the majority can't read, and are mostly cash only. If my changer took $100 bills, I'd...

    Might be a stupid idea...

I've been wondering about offering a "lady bay" at a wash I'm involved with. It would have lower pressure with a bigger tip, a lightweight bay hose, maybe a longer foam brush handle because women are statistically shorter. Does this seem like a good idea or a waste of time? What else might...
