    Valet Auto Wash

I would be interested how they circulate the air in that building? I think something would work well down here in Texas in our 100+ summers so long you can keep it reasonably cool using something other than A/C

    Puchasing First Car Wash

I wouldn't touch this for anything over $240K or 4 times current gross sales. Be comfortable with what the wash is doing now and anything you can get from better management, promotion, upgrades will be gravy. I would never buy on potential bc that might never be realized. I have 4 washes all...

    Opening Major Safe Heads

So I'm hoping some of you veterans can give me some feedback. At one of my washes I have old, very old, Major brand safe heads installed. They have a removeable dial but this week I notice the quarter drawer was missing from a vault and sure enough someone opened it. This guy hit me twice...

No high pressure soap. Water in Cat pump oil

Just another idea bc I had a bay with little or no soap. First I tried exactly what Mep said and still no soap. All other bays had soap except this one bay. Ended up being stem and plunger on the GC valve. After replacing it works fine now. This is a Jim Coleman Super Saver system.

    Thoughts.....American Changer AC225C

I'll start by saying I prefer Hamilton DRS machines with MEI validators but the new wash I am remodeling has a brand new American Changer model AC2225C. It has the Evolution Hopper and MEI validators so I wanted to know from those of you who have this changer or had this changer your thoughts...

    Hamilton DRS not paying out

I talked to Hamilton and they only advice they could give me was to disconnect the wire harness and spray electrical connector cleaner on the connectors. So I spray a can of air in there to give it a good dusting and sprayed cleaner in there, let's see what happens

    Hamilton DRS not paying out

So on site and I noticed this relay has a little rust in it as if moisture got inside some how. You guys think this might be the problem? Additionally when the changer does take the money without paying out the red indicator light stays solid red so it doesn't throw am error light sequence

    Hamilton DRS not paying out

Thanks guys for the feedback. This was a brand new changer I bought from Hamilton 8 years ago so everything on it is original. Mep from what my guy is telling me the bill does cycle and end up in the stacker when it doesn't pay out. So you guys think it's the relay between between the validator...

Water keeps coming out from the wand

On my JC system my weep line comes in the front as seen in the pic. The yellow ball valve was failing and led to steady stream out at the bay. Replaced the ball valve and solved my problem. From the pictures it doesn't look like you do have a weep line plumbed in but looks like the ball valve...

Water keeps coming out from the wand

Weep lines. Looks like a JC pump stand pinch your weep line and hold it pinched with a zip tie. Go to your bay and see if the leaking stops??? Might take a min or two but my ball valve plumbed into the front of the pump went bad and I had the same issue

Is 20K enough to get started in the car wash business?

Getting started is always the hardest. In this case finding the 1st wash. My first wash i paid $175K for it and did just what Martin said put every qtr back into. 3 years later it appraised based off cash flow for $850K. I used it as collateral and put no money down on my second wash. Even...

    Looking to purchase vacant wash!

Well I wouldn't go with new equipment way too expensive. I would get something used and rehab it. My 3rd wash I gutted it to a shell.....4 walls and a roof. I didn't redo the electrical, big regret, did all the installation myself and I have about $20 to $25K and I'm talking: Used bay meter...
