    Repair leaks while operating?

You shouldn't have to open and clean the solenoids unless you're having problems. If there isn't scale buildup in the diluted chemical tanks, you should be fine. It wouldn't hurt to make sure the strainers are in the bottoms of the tanks and are in good condition, not brittle and cracking. Do...

    Drying quarters

I'd use the silicone pad heaters like what comes in changers and meter boxes. A reptile heater isn't going to get very hot or it'll kill the herps.

    Repair leaks while operating?

The John Guest tubing fittings from Kleen-Rite are some of the best push-to-connect fittings I've used, and they're really inexpensive because they're all plastic. I recommend replacing the tubing while you're at it. Try to get nylon, but poly will last about ten years. Does your stand have...

    Coleman Vacuum motor replacement?

I prefer oil based even if there's no chance of freezing. Water based doesn't last more than a few minutes in the car. I strongly recommend ordering Fragramatics brand - the cheap ones are more likely to separate in the machine, and the Kleen-Rite oil based smells nothing like what it should.

    Laserwash M5 Proximity Sensors

Hand tight should be enough. It's not like they vibrate. You may have some wear issues with your machine causing things to drift and not the sensors moving.

    No pressure

It's very likely the check valve under the tank. Those can be "fun" to replace, but if it looks like you have to take them all off, there's a shortcut. Cut the fitting off right before it and add a union. I worked on one that didn't even have ball valves on it, and I thought I was going to...

    Ceramic coatings

I'm working with someone to change everything over to Simoniz so we can market by brand. They have a ceramic sealant which I'll put only on the top wash in place of "Shinetecs." I'm probably going to drop one package to have only three and let the premium wash upsell itself.

I intend to raise my self serve prices this year....

I may raise my startup price, but I won't lower the time per coin. I tried to about a year ago, and a LOT of people were upset.

    Coleman Vacuum motor replacement?

This is the cheapest motor you'll find. They're not horrible, but if the vac is really busy you'll have to change the brushes at least once a year. If you let them wear all the way down, it will arc and burn the commutator (True with any brush motor) and it's trash...

Replace Jim Coleman keypad with Rotary Knob?

If it uses a different presoak instead of high-pressure soap, you can connect the presoak and the pressure solenoid together.

Replace Jim Coleman keypad with Rotary Knob?

2 stack for sure, if you have a high pressure wax and a separate foam wax gun you probably need 10-position. I'm assuming small-town wash will only have tire cleaner/presoak/soap/foam brush/rinse/wax/spot free you can use 8-position.

    Counting Cars

I've done it by watching surveillance video. The playback on my DVR is too slow to watch every camera one at a time (It would probably take twelve hours) but I can download a day's worth of video to a thumb drive and watch it in media player in an hour and count the cars washed.

Replace Jim Coleman keypad with Rotary Knob?

Yes, you can. The legend is right there on the yellow sticker. Timed load will go to both 10 and 20 if you use a 10-position or 11 and 21 if you use an 8-position. From there each function goes to next increasing number on the 1x stack as you want them on the faceplace. Whatever is high...

    Jim Coleman Vac

You probably have a Sensortron. A Slugbuster or Microcoin wires up differently, but it's very simple. It comes with instructions, follow the ones to wire it to a Dixmor LED6. The MA850 wires the same.

    Wall cleaner and signs?

The guy I worked for in 1982 didn't care that much. The first time I filled vending I found product on the top shelves that had been there for probably ten years.

    Self Made Foamers

I put two in each foamer. I just bought twelve of those 24-packs.

    Foam brush heads

I tried one with the adapter. IIRC it was about half that price at the time, so I wasn't worried about making it a one-use item. I drilled a hole through the plastic and into the adaptor, tapped it, and used Loctite on the threads, then cut off the screw head. I didn't fully tap the adaptor...

    Jim Coleman Vac

Slugbuster II or III are the cheapest way to take tokens. Slugbuster II will take a customer's $1 coin and only give a quarter credit. Slugbuster III takes $1 coins, quarters, and one token, and you can turn off the $1 coin if you want. IDX MA850 will take quarters, $1 coins, and up to six...

    LED lighting upgrades

His are most likely 400 watt. Already suggested, except it's probably a little easier to retrofit. I've seen their cheaper square lights in car washes. They don't light evenly.

    Wall cleaner and signs?

Don't paint your bay walls if you can possibly avoid it. You'll create a new point of regular and expensive maintenance you'll never be able to stop. Your paneling is a little dingy but it still looks pretty good. I would either replace it or take it down and leave it off.
