How many cars do you wash per month in your IBA?

Maybe you could get Bill to do a poll on this. I think more people would be comfortable this way. From the surveys I have read they usally range from 10k to 24K per year with an average around 18,000 per year. Those figure were for the good years when the economy was booming.

    Chemical price increase

Dow chemical announced that it will take a across the board price increase of 20% on June 1. They manufacture a lot of the raw chemicals that other chemical companies use in the car wash industry. Even the ones who don't buy from Dow will see increases as other companies follow suit. Get ready...

    You lost how much money?

I get a lot of people calling me and telling me they put $5 in whatever devise they think did not work right. Even a .75 cent vacuum they tell me it is $5. Last weekend I changed the vac prices to $1 for 4 minutes of time. It was .75 for 4 minutes before. I have had at least 6 calls this week...

Ryko is hitting home stop too hard

The prox light might be coming on but see if you have enough room to adjust the prox closer to the metal plate that the prox reads. I have actually added some angle iron in the past to the metal plate so the prox would read it sooner and slow down so it does not hit the stop as hard.

Sewer hook-up fees, County's way of saying no to Car Washes

I think I would really look at buying out an existing wash if you could. They may not understand how the sewer tape fees has increased the value of their wash.

    Revenue Generators

You are looking at roughly $1000 per bay to add credit cards and $4000 per combo vac unit. I think If I was looking to spend the $8000 I would start with one combo vac and 4 SS bay credit card readers.

Ryko is hitting home stop too hard

What brand of wheels did you replace yours with? I have noticed in the past when using astromatic wheels they are a different size compared to the Ryko factory wheels. You will need to replace both sides if their is a difference in wheels.

    Fundraiser - First/Last

For my fund raisers I prefer to have them sell wash tokens for my automatic bays and I let them keep 1/2 of the proceeds and I keep half. It intorduces new customers to my wash and does not close me down on my busiest days.

Money transfer during purchase of IBA

My large payments for the equipment are made with a line draft before the equipment is unloaded on site. This has always worked with Ryko. The last few purchases have been through a leasing company and I did not have to worry about down payments or the resulting payments. I was always called by...

Money transfer during purchase of IBA

MIne have always been purchased with 10% down and then another 80% when it is delivered at the site. The final 10% is when it is installed. Credit Card Software, Broadband and the Little Guy

As it is turned 2 should always be on as they are triggered by a large 1/2 moon shaped peice of metal that goes around with the wash arm. If you look at each prox they should have a light on when...

    Ecolab Chemical Opinion

It is hard to make a blanket statement saying one companies chemicals are more expensive than anothers. Distributors all vary on pricing and some sell over suggested retail. I happen to buy direct from ecolab so I probably get a better deal than most since I don't pay a distributor mark up.
