    Wanted Vac. doors

Most places can make them accurately if you give them precise measurements. STAGraphics has a lot of them already and they customize for no extra charge.

    Wanted Vac. doors

Same here, it's easier to work on with the door off, but it's quite doable still on the vac. Just don't lose the tiny screws that hold the wire terminals to the pushbuttons if you have to take them off.

    Towel bandits

If I had towels out for customers, the homeless would steal them a night and come back during the day to charge my customers for cleaning cars in my bays.

    New vacs

OP's question is about replacing the vacuums because of the bags, not the quality of the stainless steel. Why do you feel the need to post irrelevant information in bold font right along with the disclaimer that you basically don't know what you're talking about?

    Above bay check valve recommendations

I always put the tire cleaner, presoak, and air line together on one check valve. I run the pressures about the same so I don't have any issues with backfeed, but if you run the tire cleaner really low and the presoak really high pressure you may need a check valve on the air line where it...

    New vacs

They may not be Adams vacs, possibly Monorail or old D&S with Adams decals on them. Those have a spring steel retainer that holds them in. When you look up inside, do you just see a big drooping dome of cloth? You can still get those bags, but I agree with you that you're better off replacing...

    Tunnel equipment life expectancy

Also type of vehicles washed - one manufacturer told me that brushes on their machines in their area last twice as long as the ones sold here because a much higher percentage of vehicles washed here are trucks. They even make the bottom section of the side brushes black to hide the grease and...

    New vacs

The bags are still available - I assume the vacs have a single door and you have to remove the motor to get the bag out? JE Adams will probably send you to Kleen-Rite, but make sure you order real Adams bags and not the crappy ones they outsource. I just ordered some lockbars that said they're...

Pump Inlet Hose Size for Soap and Wax

I usually put it as close to the pump as possible so I can use polybraid hose on push-lock fittings without hose clamps.

    KR vs. Fragramatics scents

I think he's talking about the difference in cost between Kleen-Rite's and a good one like Fragramatics. There's something not right with Kleen-Rite's oil-based fragrances. When you buy theirs by the five gallon it's about $5 a gallon cheaper than I could get just the base oil as a distributor.

    Berry Dry (Warsaw)

I actually heard a story first-hand about a Warsaw distributor that was collecting the empties, then splitting up and watering the product down before he sold it.

Quin-Cip-D vs. Royal Purple Synfilm Recip. 100

I must have missed the subtle part.

    Above bay check valve recommendations

I should mention that besides using a good reliable check valve, it's a good idea to have some sort of protection to minimize problems or burst lines. For example, on the spot-free line to the bay, I prefer to not have any check valves between the bay and the tank, or to have some sort of...

IBA Monthly Club System / App

Cryptopay is a hardware company; they don't process credit cards. But they get a kickback from the merchant processor from every transaction.

    Cat 1010 clacking

Have you considered a tank and lift pump or sump to supply the pump flooded instead of making it lift from underground?

Pump Inlet Hose Size for Soap and Wax

I run 1/2" hose to the pumps - whether I use push-lock hose or polybraid, I still use push-lock type hose barb fittings that are almost 1/2" inside so there's no restriction. If you're running hot water for soap and wax but cold on rinse, you need a check valve on the hot water line. It's a...

    Above bay check valve recommendations

Very well, IMO a good choice in a high-flow application since they're so wide open inside. As much as I like the Fluid Controls, they create a restriction in the line and have to be oversized.

Quin-Cip-D vs. Royal Purple Synfilm Recip. 100

I've heard nothing but good things about their products. Same with Amsoil, who makes a synthetic ISO 68 compressor oil that I may have to try in Cat pumps.

    Above bay check valve recommendations

FWIW I've replaced a lot or Rego check valves, mostly brass but some stainless. It's only the rubber parts in them that tend to go bad, but they do eventually fail. The best check valve I've seen was Hoke which they still make but not to the same standards. I've taken down a brass Hoke check...

    MiFi Internet
