    Chemical backflow possibility through Hydrominder

And, be prepared to have your Sewer District inspect/test your sand/oil separator every year, too. BTW, it won't be free!

    Counting Cars

I assembled a SmartRelay/LOGO program that included counting the bay's timed output cycles. It was not entirely accurate for car counts because some folks allow the time to expire and then restart.

    Self Made Foamers

Enough to make at least 48 foamers. (72 if you cut them into 3rds)

    Rinse water problem :/

Way back when…we would install “Soap Killers” on “no rinse” service calls. Basically, an off-delay timer triggered by the Rinse position on the rotary switch. It would turn on the wax solenoid for a few seconds every time Rinse was selected. Operators were told that this solution was a...

    Self Made Foamers

I don't use foamers on foam brush either. But, with foam guns...yeah, they just seem to flow smoother. (Might be the placebo effect?)

    Self Made Foamers

I do the same as Diamond...sink strainers from HomeDepot or your favorite plumbing supply house.

    Meter Box Door Replacement

M... I'm a MicroCoin fan. Interesting that you have such poor luck with them. Just a thought...you might try. Add a small washer or two between the faceplate and the bottom of the acceptor's frame, just to tip it back a bit. They like to be plumb or even a few degrees from plumb.

    Floor heat renewal

Before the job, my partner and I agreed, “This is going to be our last floor heat job.” The Crete-Heat job was a tear-out. A 50 year old system that had leaked for several years. Exploratory tear-out found enough age-related issues to warrant complete replacement. Energy code required R6...

    Water Softener

My comment was not intended to imply anything derogatory towards Wood Brothers Water. I was just sharing the fact that some online “dealers” offer defunct, counterfeit, or sub-standard systems and components at low-low prices. Case in point… An acquaintance re-bedded his softener… found some...

    Floor heat renewal

A recently completed floor heat renewal project. With Crete-Heat R10 insulation and 1/2" O2 barrier PEX under 4" of concrete. Flir pic today at 11*F outdoor temp Compared to uninsulated system at 20*F outdoor temp

    Water Softener

Be careful when buying online...lots of cheap crap out there. And, if you're on city water, specify 10% cross-linked resin for it's resistance to chlorine.

Water leaking out of air pressure regulator.

A recent customer took a phone video of the entire remodel walkthrough. After four weeks of almost daily texts/calls/emails about routine operations, I suggested he review the video.

Pricing -am I out of touch?

I just completed floor heat system replacement at 3 locations...(7 months apart). Propylene Glycol cost $28/gallon for the first job. In August, the price was $34/gallon. Yesterday I paid the same supplier $45/gallon! OUCH! My supplier says "Supply Chain issues". He orders glycol by the tanker...

Water leaking out of air pressure regulator.

I recall a service call to resolve poor Mark VII foam brush performance…and water leaking from the air pressure regulators. The 20 gal portable air compressor would turn on immediately when any foam brush was used, and the air pressure would drop like a rock. I could barely move the compressor...

Low pressure foam set up question

I assemble the foamers with a few PVC fittings. (Pretty sloppy with that glue, huh?) The coil hose is for foaming guns (pre-soak, tire, bug and mag-chloride, tri-foam). Foam brushes booms are on the other bay walls.

Low pressure foam set up question

I don't use foamers for foam brush...just connect 1/4" PE tubes to the manifold directly above the boom. I DO use foamers for foam gun installations....it "smooths" the pulses from FloJet pumps. Again, from the above-the-bay manifold to the foam gun boom or hose mount. This installation...

    Selling my wash

JMMUSTANG's process is a good way to go. You stated you've enlisted a local realtor. Does she just show the facility and have you there to answer their questions? I would enlist a business broker. In my experience they know everything about business dealings and do all the qualifying. No...
