    Swipe-n-go no more

Dang it… I was an early adopter. I’ve been getting warnings… Microsoft stops XP support 04/2014 Dell stopped support on the PC several years ago System creator reporting motherboard failures Original swipers no longer available…new versions are 50% more expensive And now this! And just when cc...

Here we go again. More frigid weather in the NE.

$1 coins won't solve it...but the size of the clump would be 4 times smaller.

I was wrong (choke choke gag cough cough)

In another thread I mentioned that nobody washes their cars when it gets below 20*F. Well...it's 3*F at 2:45pm and my second customer of the day just left.

    Methanol and Purge System

2Biz beat me to the dilution ratio...but you could try mixing the methanol and water at different ratios and test it in your freezer. And 2Biz... I've used about 400 gal of fluid this season! But, I'm protecting 8 foam brushes and 8 foam guns. When it's below about 20F, I use very little fluid...

    Programmable Relay or PLC

No need to read the entire manual...it's on Page 4. Or just add I's & Q's to your project until you run out 24 I's and 16 Q's Maximum of 4 digital expansion modules for 24 I's...the forth expansion module's Q's are unavailable, that's why there's only 16. Too much crossover into Idec/Seimens...

    Programmable Relay or PLC

2Biz, I disassembled that rascal and found the shuttle valve "bumpers" broken. The shaft over-travelled and locked. It's not a serviceable part...I can't even figure out how the factory assembles them!?! At least I now have spare viton diaphragms and check valves in case they're ever...

    Programmable Relay or PLC

I use 10 seconds of air at 30psi, followed by 5 seconds of fluid at 50psi. Then, a 5 second pause followed by another 10 seconds of air at 30 psi. I believe the key to success is proper placement of the fluid and air lines in the system. I inject fluid and air into the tee/foamer directly...

What size water heater for weep?

Oh man…I could write a book. Slash…I believe you have your priorities reversed. Repair or replace the boiler and put that hot water weep idea to bed. At minimum, provide hot water (110F) for soap. For greatest customer satisfaction, hot rinse and wax, too. (You can always use the hot water...

Here we go again. More frigid weather in the NE.

Sadly, one can never wash enough cars during the big days to make up for all the lost days...or, so it seems. Now my quandary: I love the Broncos but they've sure killed my Sunday business for the past 3 seasons. Nobody watches next Sunday's game, so at least I have a chance for full bays...

Foam Brush Swivels That Actually Swivel

Does anyone have oil water separator for their IBA pit?

An oil/water separator in it's simplest form is a below-grand tank that drains near the top. The discharge pipe is equipped with a downward facing elbow. Water and solids flow into the tank...solids settle to the bottom...liquids fill the tank...once the tank is filled, the liquid drains below...
